hihi,

The snoring may cause by the deficiency of our respiratory system, where some gals has suggested to go for the sleep test. yes by doing that, we can find out the result but still will not go to the roots of the cause.

My hubby previously also snore terribly (he don't even aware) that affected my sleep. After he took plants supplements meant for the respiratory system for 3 months 2 years back, surprisingly he recovered without visiting the doctor.

if u like to get more details, can email me, I will ask him. [email protected]

My FH snores and it doesn't help that I am a very light sleeper.

We intend to sleep in separate rooms when we get married because a good night rest is very important to the both of us. In case we loose our temper at each other due to each other's sleeping habits and put a strain on our relationship.

all i wan to say is, each & everyone of us got its own good/bad habits during sleeping...

for myself, due to work stress, i can talk loudly or scream very loudly quite often in the night which my FH ALWAYS woke up in 'shock'... imagine your partner screaming away while you are next to it sleeping, quite scary. But he also snore quite alot..he din complain anything abt this thng coz he said each of us got good & bad points in life, we accept each other in life... so how can i complain much abt his snoring...

i understand all your concerns & frustration....but these all our loved ones... unless we are perfect ourselves...if not, how can we criticise them or angry at them...

this is just only my own humble opinion.

I bought the "Breathe Right" pack (from pharmacies, like Guardian) containing small strips to stick on his nose b4 sleeping. It basically lifts the nostrils so that the person can breathe better. It actually works. He didn't snore as loud and sometimes doesn't snore at all!

After a while, we stop using cos he said that if he didn't use it, it seems like he cannot breathe as well.

So now we stop using, and in fact his snoring has reduced. Sometimes at night when he feels he has stuck nose etc, then we will put again, or if he's snoring loudly.

My advice is for all of you to try, and after a few weeks, stop and see what happens!

My little girl (now 4 years old) snores too. what we did was to get those "Breathe Right" nasal strips and stick over her nose (after she sleeps). It works... maybe you can try it on your hubbies.

Ask your doctor to set up a sleep study and see if he has sleep apnia .Snoring is wearing out his heart ,he probably holds his breath at certain times as he snores .The C-pap stops the snoring by breathing in a mask and the air is at a certain pressure so as you are breathing the back of the pallot can not hang down and makes you snore.
Hope this helps

hubby snores too... breathe right doesn't really help leh.
I have given up "correcting" him. Instead, i put ear plugs on. It helps to sleep.
Else we have a policy, I sleep first before he sleeps. This helps a little.

me too .. my hubby also like tt and can make me to unslp for the whole night till morning i fall aslp . any advice? is due to health prob or nose prob?

Hmm...my husband doesn't really snore at all but he sure likes to turn around in the bed alot when he asleep and it is as disturbing as snoring when you are a light sleeper. Very tempted to kick him off the bed sometimes hehe.

Hi gals

I am a newly wed and just married. I am a light sleeper and wakes up easily with noise. My problem is my hubby snores so I am unable to sleep at night.

Anyone with same problem kindly advise.

I really recommend that you go to an ENT specialist. I know snoring is a bit of a common thing but it could also be a sign of something that could lead to sleep apnea or even heart problems. My dad used to see Dr Lau Chee Chong at Mount Elizabeth Centre. There's no harm in getting checked. :)

May I ask how was his experience with Dr Lau? I've also been meaning to consult with him for sleep problems.

If sleeping on his side and your wearing earplugs doesn't help alleviate the problem then getting his sinus (is that a thing?) removed may help.

My hubby snores and I’m experiencing the same sleepless nights as well. Went to ENT and enroll for sleep study. Anyone know what to expect?

Hi

Used to have a nasal strip sold in Guardian and Watson which is really helpful. However, they no longer sell it there nowadays. Brand is breathe right.

Read that some of you mentioned nasal spray, what kinda nasal spray adid u guys try?

Believe the last option is through the real doc consultation. Had anybody tried that?

Thanks.

Happy CNY!

I'm so glad to hear the nose strip worked for your family, @Ervinna93. I actually haven't tried those yet, but my husband used to have a cute little magnetic nose clip I got for him from Japan - it did the trick for him. Unfortunately, it got lost somewhere during one of his trips, so now I'm on the hunt for a new anti-snoring device. Thanks for the tip!
