Potential Lovenest / L'atelier Problem (City gate)

Hello BTBs 2024!

Would just like to ask around if anyone is in the same circumstances as us. We signed a bridal package with French Wedding in Jan 2023, for PWS + Actual day gowns and suit rental. Our actual day is sometime in May 2024. Happily went for PWS and was satisfied with the photos/products. However, at the end of December 2023, was told that the Tanjong Pagar shopfront will be closing down due to merger with other bridal studios, and will be shifting to city gate. Hence, would like to ask for any reviews or experience with the studio (they also go by the name of LOVE NEST) as the fiancé and I recently went for a gown selection session and was shocked by the lack of selection for gowns. They also did not have the previous selection that we initially chose in French wedding.

Hi Manduloo! I am in the same shoes as you, we were originally with French Wedding but we had to do everything with Lovestory/Lovenest instead of French Wedding as our original PWS date was in late Jan. However there has been new developments on Lovestory/Lovenest side and things are looking unstable - FYI almost all employees have abandoned the shop/left the whatsapp groupchats and when I visited today, only the receptionist Elle was there and she was doing everything from helping a couple with gown selection/fielding other couples' queries.

Am trying to raise awareness about the situation and find other couples impacted by the recent developments. I've formed an groupchat with some of the other impacted couples.

Our actual day is later in the month and this is creating tremendous undue stress...

Hi all, we just got notified that the bridal studio will close down until further notice. We signed with them last year at the ******** expo.. Do you mind adding us in the group chat as well? @BKoh

Hello! I had the same issue. They just texted me at 2pm today that they ceased operations today. The phone number was not available and they are not contactable at all. :( We will be making a report on CASE regarding this.

Tried to called CASE and they say company is going through liquidation.

Patrol police were coincidentally on duty and they advise to make police report.

So CASE suggested us to make a police report? Do we still need to report it to CASE?

I have called CASE, they have informed me that they are not able to do much as the company does not have money to repay. He suggested to contact the liquidator instead.

The winding up order was issued on 13 January 2023!

We are planning to contact the Organiser of the wedding fair as well.

I have called CASE and they advised me to contact the liquidator by search the company name Love Nest Holding. You can find the info on the winding up order which has been issued on 13 Jan 2023.

Best to report to CASE and also make a police report. Even though we cannot get the money back but thats the least we can do now
CASE mentioned that we can make a police report but unlikely that they can do much regarding that

Hi all, I had same encounter few years back where the bridal shop liquidate overnight. Just wanted to share my experience and hope it help some of you.

Unlikely you will get back your money even reporting to CASE, you could still log a case though.

However, if any of the couples here recall any recent payment made via credit card to the bridal shop, do check with the bank if the recent transaction can be voided. There is a grace period to report disputes (if any). At least it helps to minimize the damage.

Hello all!

Thank you for reaching out. I was liaising with the florist directly and they told me that they couldn't get through to them as well. They also got the news from Loveliest suddenly yesterday. I guess we are able to report to CASE but like what @Qubby001 shared, I had a friend that went through this sometime back, she wasn't able to get back her money in the end. Rather it's just reporting to CASE to lodge a report for records.
