Missy (vogie), can you email me the setting for the ballroom itself? I'm also holding my wedding in jan09. But i am sourcing for more photos from girls who have hold it there before, i need to know the colours for the table cloth etc. Hope you can email to [email protected]
Though they try to market it as 5 or 4 star, the food is not anywhere higher than 3 star. The menu is not impressive.
My company had dinner and dance there in April this year. My staff asked for a bucket of ice and the waiter gave my staff one kind of look (like not happy to serve). I was very shocked cuz I spent my whole career life in service industry and this was totally unacceptable.
I asked for a plain water without ice. The waiter has problem understanding and I had to repeat three times. In the end, he gave me a glass of 7-up without ice!!
As it was a dinner and dance, so it ended very late. But to my utmost surprise, their service staff ended work at 10.30 pm!!!
I have heard many complaints from my own contacts.
If you all want to have it around that area, why not explore Prima?
If you want to have it because your husband-to-be is a safra member, then consider the one at Yishun which serves relatively good cantonese cuisine.
I attended a wedding dinner the day before yesterday. I and my family members love the place, especially their settings, colour of tablecloth and chaircover, special lighting system event better than some hotels.
The restaurant privide the excellent services.
I highly recommand Pioneer Spring Restaurant as the venue for your big day!
I just went to view the place last sunday. If less than 33 confirmed tables, the VIP rooms will be open for public to use despite having wedding dinner. And the bridal changing room is small and not tidy. Guys, for those who have went there, wat do u all think?
for my own experience, unless you can take up whole place by yrself without sharing with others, you can consider. But my guests are not happy with the shark fins and fish, all comment on the same issue.Although they assured me that they are using good quality but guests say that the soup is too starchy. I thought even if they used the best quality, if the cooking method goes wrong, then no matter how , it would not be nice.
The fish is tasteless and too small for some tables. Ok, this i agree i might have some fault in this because they are specialise in cooking nonya assam fish, but i change it to teochew steam fish.
Overall, service is good! The restaurant manager, F&B manager and banquet manager did a great job.
And yes, those who are going to sign up with them be sure to discuss on the parking issues. They offer free valet parking when parking is not enough, but my guests were deducted parking fees upon entry and some even tipped the valets for their services.
I think they are stiil the better place than others. you could look for Joyce for assistance. She is the Marketing Director in Pioneer Group.
Recently I signed a package with her. I and my hubby are happy with her professional advise and service.
I may have to give up my wedding package with Pioneer Spring Mount Faber Safra due to posting to overseas. Wedding date is on 18 Sept 2010 (Saturday) for 30 tables, selling price at S$699nett per table. Please PM me if you are interested.
I am seriously considering to sign my wedding banquet with Pioneer Spring this weekend before their promotion ends. Can anyone advise whether it is a wise decision to sign with them? I dun see many reviews since 2007, and am very worried. Their perks is super attractive and the setup is nice. Pls kindly advise anyone?
