Thanks very much for the info! I shd b starting to actively source for cards n printers mid dec, tat will give me abt 2mths before i need to confirm my printing with the printer i've selected. (we intend to send out our invites 2nd wk of march)

My FH and I were quite interested to take up Peony Jade for our wedding banquet, but lately we read that the crazy horse cabaret and the ministry of sound will be opening soon. Kinda worried that the area will become a crowded and complicated place, and we wanted a simple, quiet wedding dinner. Any comments please??

Hi jer,
It was a pretty cosy room. I especially liked the bathroom. It was their classic room but they gave wedding bears, chocolates and breakfast in bed.

The hotel room is part of the dinner package with Peony Jade. The "makeup room" is actually the extra area to put an extra table or two. So it is pretty big. But there is no dedicated makeup mirror, only thin mirror panels.

i'm also considering where to have my makeup and i decided to do it in hotel. cos i saw that the area where the mirror is position is quite cramp, although the whole room is quite spacious. so for comfort reason, its better to makeup in the hotel room.

my hotel is ritz carlton, cos its my hubby's fav. btw, our hotel room is not part of the banquet package, we booked it on our own.
One concern is, my wedding day is on christmas day, so afraid that there will be traffic jam on that day, cos i dun wanna be late for my reception.

I'm having my chinese banquet at PJ this weekend. Took the Unity package too, like you. But made a couple of changes to the dishes.
So far, my experience with PJ has been pretty good. Pauline is clear, straight to the point, and doesn't waste any time with me, which is how I like it. The terms in the contract seem pretty standard to me, but you may like to pay attention to the part on perks, room set up, and beverages. (Sorry, what do u mean by 30L+7B...etc? 30L of beer + 7 bottles of wine?)
In contrast to my garden wedding party, organising a dinner at PJ has been quite a breeze.

Thanks, dreymin! I replaced the cold dish with suckling pig, shark's fin soup with herbal chicken soup (I think...cannot remember off hand), and a couple of others. Yes, I had to top up a bit, cos the dishes we wanted cost more, which is fair.
IMHO, 20L+20B sounds better. At my garden party, the wine ran out really fast. Better to have more wine.
We didn't want the hotel stay....didn't see the point of it, and traded that in for something else.

actually this dinner wl be a family affair. frens wl be invited for church wedding.
