Parkroyal on Beach Road

Hi ladies,

My AD was just few days ago and had it in PR Plaza Ballroom. My coordinator was Felicia. She is helpful and experience. Overall was good other then they didnt call us to inform anything or check what kind of theme we wanted till the last week of our AD.

We had 30+2 with Sze Chuan Tou Hua. The food was great and all my guest loves it! The Event Manager, Husni was a great helper and we dont have to worry about anything. They even pack the food and send it to our room after our dinner. I'm very happy with their service and would recommend to my friends and relatives.

We had 30+2 and we end up total 32 tables. package was good too. $888 nett, freeflow of beer/ soft drink/ tea, 1 bottle of red wine per table, $300 deduct for total table, $500 sze chuan tou hua voucher, $200 spa voucher and 2 night stay.

The only thing is that the red carpet for march in is short, so u need to walk extra slow. There isnt alot of theme to choose and the guest tables only white and no theme. So is quite plain. I did the 'double happiness' cut out just to decorate the table. Carpark was quite troublesome. You have to tell your guest that if they come from the mall, they use lift and its on the 3rd floor. From hotel lobby, the lift is 4th floor.

But overall, me and my hubby is quite happy with the helpfulness of the staff around there includes the bellboy. Hope the info helps!

Hi Joanne,

Mine was held in the plaza ballroom at level 3, not in the restaurant. Our is on the perk period. I think you got to check with your coordinator. Mine was Felicia and she is the sales manager so she got us the best deal. There is more deal if you took Sze Chuan Tou Hua, for the normal cantonese meal. Not much of the deals going on.

Not sure if this is the place I could write about this.

Well, understanding that we couples should bear responsibility of contract stated. But i believe management could be slightly flexible and handling on case to case basis.

we signed a dinner package with PARK ROYAL @ BEACH ROAD late last year. we had to call off the dinner due to family financial issues with member diagnosed with cancer and no insurance. even after deducting all the medisave we could, we still have a huge mountain of outstanding in cash.

we tried explaining BUT my sales manager insisted she tried to explain to the management (her boss) and even the accounts say cannot transfer. sigh. so we had to forfeit the deposit since it was NOT transferable and we could not sell to anyone elsehttp://www.******************/forums/images/smilies/RpS_sad.gif

despite the food having good reviews or at least not bad reviews.

btb / brides, how would you handle such a situation http://www.******************/forums/images/smilies/RpS_bored.gif

infact, we agreed on the spot after meeting the sales manager for the first time, just that we were waiting for the contract to be drafted before making payments.

Did you try speaking to the Management? Most of the hotels are rather flexible on couples transferring banquet packages.

Hihi, i was a bride back in end 2011... just saw the pics of the newly renovated ballroom. It is sure beautiful that last time... Just my review of them.

My coordinator was Felicia, she is just amazing.. she replied all our emails promptly and was helpful and friendly.

The food was just delicious and portion was big. The service and food render is definitely worth more than the price we paid. We din want a too expensive banquet and blown our budget and cant cover the dinner in the end... Distance was not a prob as most guests will glad make it to the venue just for your big day.

Overall, we have no bad feedback but good ones from our guests... worth holding your banquet there...

Hi! My wedding is on 5th Jan 14 in their new grand ballroom and my coordinator is Felicia too! So far she has been nothing but helpful and she acceded to about 95% of the things we requested! :) Was your food from Si Chuan Dou Hua or the hotel's banquet side? Mine is from the hotel banquet and is now alittle worried that food might not be very good..

Hi OJY,
have you went for the food tasting? Was the food nice? Need to find out more about their food as my guests are rather particular about food.

Hi all!
sorry for the delayed response as I was super busy with the wedding and our short honeymoon after :)
I have to say, totally no regret in choosing Park Royal Beach Road! Many guests were impressed with the food, ballroom and ambience of the place! :) Service by their staff were also great! We will definitely aim to have staycations at the hotel on every of our anniversaries!

As I will not be logging into this website as often since my wedding is over, I will be leaving my package details with this post. I will continue to update my blog http://troublesofabridetobe.blogspot.sg/ with reviews of the various vendors whose services we engaged and also will upload photos of our wedding banquet at the venue once we received the photos from our photographer :) I have also just written a sale post of some lightly used/brand new wedding decor items, neckties and gowns on the blog. Do contact me at [email protected] if you are interested ok?

*Do note that we signed up for the package before the construction of their new ballrooms were completed thus our package is different from what they are offering now.
**The food served for our dinner banquet is from the hotel side and not Sichuan Douhua but still received good feedbacks on the taste, presentation and portion of food. No complaints were received regarding bad service or insufficient food portion. Everyone went home with a full belly :)

Mine's from hotel too, in fact we signed with them cause we liked the ballroom. Yours is Grand Ballroom as well?

Dont be too bothered where the food comes from. Used to work in a hotel and when they say food is from a certain restaurant its really just a gimmick. The quality of the food really cannot be high when it is cooked for big group, even chefs from big restaurant cannot keep up to it ;)

Yes we went to 10 over hotels but my SO and I still preferred this. We are having the Grand Ballroom cause he likes it better.

Sky Ballroom has nice floor to ceiling windows, if you hang fairylights on the trees outside the windows, it will look very pretty :)
