I have recently visited this hotel and it looks great after renovation! However really concern abt the location as its near little india....and also the food quality.

Anyone can share your experience there? Think the look of the hotel really dun suit the environment there....

Hi,

The food is supposedly from Hai Xiang Restaurent which is supposed to be good...The pricing of their banquets are also very affordable..The only negative would be that not a lot people know about it, and it was a three star hotel before the renovations..
I am having my banquet there in Mar 08, thus can't comment on the experience as yet...

hi .... I held my wedding on May 06 last year till now my guest still give good comment about the food they serve during my wedding ...... all say very good very nice to eat quantity alot too ...

this yr went back there for my anniversary stay .... is really a WOW to me which is very nicely done up room is nice too ..... i dunno they renovate the bridal suite anoT which is located rm no. 2008

is near little india so alot of indian but who cares right? hehehe at 1st i have doubt that too but i no regret after I held my wedding there

I ask QQ about this hotel back in 2006 when I had my ROM.. but sad to say until now also dun have a date set for wedding..

mentioned this hotel to my hubby but he say change chef liao so dunno how is e standard now..

as for e indians part, if hold wedding on a weekday Mon to Thur then not so many indians..

Fri to Sun got many indians..

today got good news from my hubby cos not e chef change. it's e chef might not be e same one by e time we had our wedding in 2009..
so once we confirm e chef is staying, we will book e date n negotiate on e perks!

We haven't calculate the date yet but should be after june 2009.
might not have 25 tables though so need to negotiate on e perks or even hold at e restaurant instead at e ballroom.

quite convenient except near mustafa..

e main selling point is e food n price is quite reasonable.

I am also a PR bride, will be having my wedding dinner at this hotel on 26 Sep 2009. The package they offered (can be found on the hotel website) is comprehensive. Hope the service and food they offered on my big day are good too.

Hi Emily,
The ballroom looks decent, but has 6 pillars and ceiling not high..they have just re-carpet the ballroom during the major renov last year..

I have also just signed up with PR @ Kitchener. Your one is at Beach rd or kitchener? My day is tentatively at 3 May 09. Heard from a lot of friend that hai xiang food is quite nice... hope their quality doesn't drop...

Yep, thats my wedding on 8th Mar 08
Overall, a rather good experience.
Foodwise - Food was nice and portions big, but because we added another dish to make it 10 dishes thus the serving was a bit too fast

Service - Not sure about the waiters and waitresses cos did not hear anything about them. But the banquet managers - Don, Ganesan are great in their service

Decor - Decor was wrong but still acceptable. Low ceilings and 2 pillars are the major disadvantage points. Too much dry ice was generated during the March In though

Suite - Not exactly big but new modern design which I found vey comfortable to my liking
