think usually the theme of the coming year is finalized at the wedding show. thats what i know for GCW wedding show too. Your wedding will be next year 2010? Think by then, there will be some changes to the themes too. But one thing u can b assure, theres enough themes to choose from, and sure to find one which u like

Oh.. my coordinator also told us, the wedding favors now shown at the wedding show, would most probably be used finish by end of this year, so by next year, there should be new wedding favors coming in.

ya, those themes are very nice~ so u have chosen the 3rd one?

Hmm.. Linda did show us some of the wedd favors that they are having currently. but then it is out of our control. just pray hard that they still have stocks for the one we like when our day is ard the corner. haha.

ohh ok. yah, mine is June 2010. Wow. u managed to sign up for a december date, less than 9 months away.

We sort of prefer the 3rd one, but havent confirm yet la.

Actually im looking forward to the new wedding favors, coz the ones we saw at the wedding show seems so common nowadays. - the saucer, the metal box, and the couple bears. nv took any fotos of them though..

kelly>haha.. consider very lucky as heard that 6 Dec is a hot date. my bf just told my parents about our plan to get married this December during cny. We start hunting for the restaurants/hotels b4 our consultant gives us the actual date. So once the date was out, we just called up to those we have shortlisted to check their availabilities.

All the rooms were taken on that night. but since we only need around 8 - 9 tables, it's just nice for us to take the function rooms (Ocean 11-13). If we need a bigger place, i don't think we will be able to get it unless we are willing to make it in 2010. hahaha

ya, those are the common ones.. but if there is no any other new choices for us to choose from, we would prefer the saucer compare to the rest..

Dear All,
I got to know abt the show from 1 of the wedding magazines (Blissful Brides or Style Weddings).

Kelly>, We paid an additional 60nett per table cos our dates r after 7 Sep 2010. So each table is 1088nett. We got 1 more LCD projector, 1 extra nite stay at Bridal Suite, 1 helpers room from 2pm to 10pm.

BTW, our coordinator is also Linda Yee.

Linda also mentioned that the wedding show is to launch their new wedding themes. As for the wedding themes, she said they r still finalizing them. Might be coming with something that matched with the individual themes.

DS_gerl> ohh same additional stuffs. but we didnt ask for additional helper day room. think the deluxe rm already in the pkg was sufficient for us ba.

Kelly> cos we will be having our solemnization on the same day so wud prefer to hv 1 rm for helpers to rest & get changed.
As for the Deluxe rm, we r considering to let either his or my parents stay lor... if both parents want to stay a nite at the hotel, need to chk for availability a couple of weeks b4 our AD (that is payable).

All ex-brides or BTBs> any1 ask for a function rm @ level 2 as changing rm? Was thinking of requesting it cos will b quite troublesome to travel to and fro esp if the suite is at a higher floor.

You mean your coordinator give you total of 2 LCD Projectors free of charge for your wedding at Pacific Ballroom?

jia-joey, u shld juz email pan pacific directly for their latest package. Ive emailed almost all hotels, and they will reply u with the pkg valid for ur wedding date. So its best if you email them directly to get the correct and valid information

thanks a1211. for those who didnt went to the wedding show, note that the cupcakes n macaroons is chargeable at almost $5 or $8 per wedding favor.

i know the kueh lapis (thousand layer cake) and the pineapple tarts no need top up. Not v sure abt the rest and 4gotten the exact pricing of each also.. Since dont think we would be interested to do the topup :p

btw, did u try the cup cakes at the wedding show? I think it didnt taste good. Not chocolaty enough and too much cream. hee

hi all..may i know how many of you have already signed up with pan pac? my coordinater is linda, i have seen here like most of u have already signed up..i have been to the wedding show last week and didnt really like all their themes..especially after seeing Ritz.. me still have not signed up..but anyone of you is doing at next year feb? mine am looking at feb next year...anyone to share with us the package given?

hi wil, think so far, got 3 of us - a1211, ds_gerl and me - who had went to the wedding show and had also signed up for the wedding package.

For mine, its at June 2010, im holding it at ocean ballroom, so the package price is $968 nett.
Since you are there, you do have a copy of the package right? All the standard things are there. Its just that a couple of us had negotiated for extra night of wedding suite, extra LCD projector.

Well.. u cant really compare an apple and a orange even though they are all fruits right? If you like Ritz themes, and its within your budget, then go for it. For me n my hb, our aim is to spend within our means, which we had set a budget of around 1k. And Pan Pacific fits us perfectly in terms of budget, and with the branding, we like the themes, and we trust the service would be good, food should be good too (but we havent tried before). So we believe its a wise choice for us. We wouldnt want to get ourselves into debts just to hold the so-called dream wedding. The wedding is just a day event, marriage is for life. That being said, if you have the budget, go for it! whichever hotel pleases you most =)

I think i will choose the garden of poise (Blue Theme). My ballroom is Ocean. I am still cracking my head to think of march in song to match this ballroom lightings.

My wedding is 27 Nov 09. My advise is to make decision asap as alot of hotels are fully book. i have chose pan pacific as my sis hold her wedding last year and i can see their service is vy good and linda is a vy good coordinator.

hee wendy, when u tgt of what music to use. do post here for our reference! yah. the ballroom lightings feel very nice now. modern feeling too. hee. its good that the ocean ballroom now also have the lightings, totally elminates the "function room" feeling.

Hi ladies, anyone holding ur wedding in the Pacific ballroom. I saw the new themes, initially wanted the blue and white theme (Garden of Posies), but when I saw the photo of the theme displayed in the Pacific ballroom, it has a different feel too

My coordinator is supposedly to be Ivan too.. But i couldnt get him at the wedding show, so i signed up with Rosalind. She is Catering Sales Manager for corporate accounts, but they do part time for wedding functions too. had a good feeling with her so far

The Garden of Posies is nice too..just that I am thinking if the flower arch on stage if displayed on Pacific ballroom stage, it will look very empty at the sides...thats my concern

thats true too. another concern of the flower arch along the aisle is whether the base is stable or not. Im scared people knock into it, and there tealights on it. But because this is a new theme that they have, so they will have to look at the see how things goes when other wedding couples use the garden of poise theme 1st.

Kelly, I also agree with u... guests' safety also impt...

Probably we can request our coordinators to keep us informed of any upcoming weddings using these new themes. I think it wud be better to see the display at the actual ballroom.
