Overseas PS - Help

Hello,

I did my bridal shoot with Andrew choi last March at LasVegas. He normally bring along Jerlyn (MUA) for his overseas shoot. So hassel free when comes to make up..

One thing uniquely abt Andrew is that he normally drives himself during his overseas shoot and once he notice any excellent shooting spots, he will stop and shoot... So the couple will get pictures at different places..

Just my one cent worth...

hi, will be heading to europe in april 09 and am sourcing for local photographers in Rome/ Florence/ Paris/ London. Not looking for SG photographers to fly over, want someone with local expertise. Anyone has any contacts?? Will be bringing my gowns over. As for MUA, hopefully the PG will have some contacts? If you have MUA contacts, please advise as well. Thank you very much in advance!!!

I've signed with Yu Hsin from Tinydot Photography for my Pre Wedding Shoots in Paris, For Period between May 17 to May 24, 2009.

Im looking for another keen couple to share and split the cost of the Makeup artist's service fees, flight ticket and accomodation.

Any keen parties for Pre Wedding, Wedding or Post Wedding shoots in Paris during the above mentioned period?

My PG dates has been confirmed! The current slot left is for May 20 and May 21.

This trip we also have a MUA included. However, cost will be spilt between 2 couples.

Hi,

looks like quite a number of our Singaporean brides are very good at DIY-ing leh! It is true when you go to that country, the local photographers there will know the best locations. I was very impressed with the "10days in Italy" one that was posted much earlier on, I would have never thought of that!

I had my PS overseas, DIY style, in 2 locations. First shoot in New York City, second shoot in Ithaca, USA. I chose to hire local professionals (American photog, hair/MUA) for both shoots.

i DIY-ed my overseas PS too... there are only 3 things you need to consider: photographer, make-up, gowns. For my PS in Paris and Rome, i got the same photographer from Manchester (he is a HongKonger based there, so more familiar with asian pre-wedding photography style... there's no such thing as an european pre-wedding... apparently the only time they take pics in their wedding gown in on the actual day itself). A professional photographer is a MUST, especially with a professional camera equipment. Those travelling around using compact camera type really CMI. For my gown, i already had the idea of going overseas way before, so when i signed up with my BS in 2007, my only condition was that they must allow us to take the gowns overseas otherwise i won't even sign up... personally i prefer this way so you can do all your alterations before-hand, otherwise must factor time to do your fittings. Be careful about your luggage allowance though! lucky hubby is krisflyer gold, so they waived the excess baggage... For my make-up and hair, i did it myself... invested in a good set of cosmetics, about SGD$350, from make-up base to foundation to all the special effects powder (i.e. highlighter, bronzer, etc). it's honestly not rocket science, and at the end of the day, it's just about enjoying yourself with hubby, and that's the best shots that you can get for your PS... have fun!!

hi there, currently lost on oseas PS stuff. need some help here~

1. if we book thru the photographer in sg, we pay for their airtix/accomodation as well as MUA am I right to say tt?

2. gowns we can either take on BS without the photoshoot or rent at the PS location? but the photographer will hafta noe where to rent and all?

3. couple's accomodation & airtix on our own exp?

pls furnish me with more information in case i missed out any..

I went to Rome in June last year. We did DIY photoshoot with his SLR (with different lens). It was fun but tiring.

hi everybody, i just went to La-Vie bridal studio. Any reviews regarding their services? I am interested in engaging them and for overseas prewedding photo shoot. Anyone had experiences with them for overseas photo shoot? I am interested in Europe which is very expensive...
