Outdoor Wedding with Chinese Banquet??

Hi everyone,

I'm in a dilemma, in which maybe got fairy godmothers here can help... I very much wanted a outdoor wedding, however, both my parents and in-law are strongly against the idea of buffet dinners. They still prefer the chinese sit-down courses type.. However, i've never heard anybody doing chinese banquets in a outdoor setting before.. Does anyone here know of such thing or actually had / is goingto have such a wedding concept? Will appreciate very much for ur advice / suggestions.. (- -

they will set up tentage. i see the picture, nice set up. actually not sure is it chinese or western. but i see the setting is chinese. actually if you have the location, u could find caterer for that. of course the costs will be $$$.

I had my wedding last year at Changi Fairy Point chalet, a chalet by the sea and we had a 9 course chinese sit down dinner.

Dear Beautiful People,

I am a Bride from RSYC. We got married on 01 July 2006 at Foreshore Deck (their outdoor venue)

Their Foreshore Deck is a beautiful place that is right next to the Marina. We had 30 tables than and it is still spacious enough.
As our grand entrance, we sail in on a power boat amidst a glowing sunset and wonderful weather. The Food was wonderful and all my guests went back with beautiful memories abt our celebrations...

Hi, mercure roxy hotel poolside is wonderful. we jus had our wedding on 20072007. The guests complimented on how pretty the place is, complete with marquees and beautiful decor for the stage, chairs and tables. Ya, we had 300+ guests. They even reserve a small ballroom for spillover. It was a standing cocktail ROM ceremony for all the friends only, so it was realli fun. The prices are affordable, could work with the catering manager Evangeline to work something out. She is superb. Have fun for the wedding.

Hi!

I am selling a Villa Halia outdoor wedding package for Sat 23 July 2011.

My experience with Halia so far has been very good- they are very flexible, and try their best to accommodate on requests. Marianne (the coordinator) is also very quick in replying emails. I also find that the florist they work with is very creative, eg. combining hydrangea with orchids!

I have always wanted an outdoor wedding and thought Halia was perfect for its lush greenery and it is sheltered! (most outdoor places in sg are not sheltered!). The place is also v cooling cos of the surrounding plants and no mozzies too.

Sadly, I have to let this go as my guest list is now way too long.
