Novotel & Orchard Hotel

Hi Joyle,
We are not particular about the recept area & the offer was pretty decent.
In fact, We just went to Grand Park City Hall & we fell in love with the ballroom. HIgh ceiling, hugh & pillarless! Just like Novotel, the recept area are all ours as there's only 1 ballroom.
Is there any additional perks we can request for?
They r giving us 2 barrel of 30L beer which im afraid not enough as we prefer to have free flow.
Please advise.

for mine, I got it during the wedding supersale thingy, so I got free flow of beer... u can check out BOWS (Grand Park and Novotel will be there!)? They may have great deals too!
Novotel's quite rigid on their perks thou'.. dun expect extra dayroom, night stay etc..

I held my wedding recently at orchard hotel. During my selection of hotels, I also shortlisted novotel + orchard hotel. Novotel reception area is big and nice whereas for orchard hotel, there is a possibilty that u might need to share with other couple. Food wise, we preferred orchard hotel over novotel. Most importantly was the perks. Both were strict, but orchard hotel gave better perks like free flow of beer and wine. So end up choosing orchard hotel.
We were quite lucky. No other couple were holding their banquet on that day so we manage to get the whole reception area for ourself. Service was excellent and everything run smoothly on the actual day.
If u wish to have a better deal, it's better to sign up during roadshow.

Bingqiling: Mine was dazzling dream theme. Everything at Orchard Hotel was great. The only bad point was they serve the dish very fast. I have a guest mentioning that the waitress took the dish away after serving all the portion. Actually there were still leftover in the dish.. at least should ask whether the guest still wants it before taking away.
Most hotels use part timers, hence sometimes service wise, might have some lapse. not a big problem.

Dear, thank you for the feedback. I will probably take note on that and bring up the issue if I really sign with OH.
By the way, how many table did you have?
Still looking around for other hotels before making decision.
