Hello all, I just had my wedding at Novotel. We started at ard 8.15pm, pretty good timing, as I we requested that guests to arrive at 7.30pm on our wedding card.

The banquet manager is very good! Serve us water before marching in, calm us down and even helped me with my gown before marching in!

The dinner went smoothly without hiccups and we are pleased with yday's dinner. Overall the food is better than our food tasting & not much complaints for the traffic as well. =)

Though it's a bit rushed for 40 tables of phototaking hehee

Lis is also very helpful with our last minute requests and changes.

I changed the decorations a bit. Also used a mixed theme. Will post the photos when ready =D

hm...i think the maximum in cinnamon bedroom is 30. There's a small pillar at the side.

Yups wentan81, you are in good hands. Small note that she can be a bit blur sometimes hehee but generally nice and professional and flexible as well! =)

that time food tasting tried the yam paste.. nt very fantastic leh.. tink its a diff way of cooking.. then forgot about ordering one serving of mango pomelo to try haha

Hi wentan81, thanks! My ROM starts at 6pm, ends at around 6.30pm. And my dinner starts at around 8.15pm.

I used the Clove Room. Actually as the room is enclosed, we just use our normal voice and it's loud & cosy enough. So no worries about it. =) Unless your JP can't do without a mic and you will need to rent their sound system.

I am using the orange theme but I changed the backdrop to red and the roses to red =)

hi pinkyloving, the coordinator would most likely to inform you what's the next step. Usually they will pass you a form to state that you are entitled to # of complimentary cards from a specific supplier. Novotel's supplier is t-dragon cards (cannot really remember the name)

For me, I chose the theme and wedding favours around one month before the wedding. =)

hi pinkyloving, is your AD early Dec? usually can send out cards 4-5 weeks before your actual day if you are sending out cards to guests and then confirm. For me, i send them out only when the guests have confirmed, so I send out only 2-3 weeks before

You can start asking for your guest list in September, it's all right =)

Your hotel coordinator will first call you for food tasting. I had mine 2 months before. Then after food tasting, one month before will discuss and finalize on ballroom deco, reception decor, and wedding favours.

Jing Ying- yup early Dec ... I haven msg my frens yet.. Some close ones I Hav aldy verbally told them. So in sept den I jus msg them b4 send cards. Looks like everythigs only can b done 1-2 mths b4 Weddin right? I gonna breakdown man especially oct n nov is my work peak plus sch exam. Wish my emotion is balance man. I used a mixed theme: Garden and red backdrop
I changed all the roses colours to red instead of the original orange. Also changed the aisle seats ribbons to red and the VIP table cover to be red as well =)

yes you can mix three themes if you like it.

Just to note that there are 2 sets of decorations for mystic and garden themes and 1 set for the red theme.

So let's say if someone else use the red backdrop and garden theme, another person cannot select the red theme anymore =)

there was a news recently regarding Novotel serving uncooked fish and other unsatisfactory services to the wedding couple that resulted in the couple not willing to pay the remaining 8k after the banquet and the banquet manager called the police to handle the case.

bad PR move by the manager to spoilt the big day of the couple. i think it happened on 3rd Dec

Mine happened on July 2011. Everything went smoothly though. I had a very gd experience with Novotel =D

I use the garden theme and change the roses to red and the background to red. The small room that you see is my ROM room =) I think is Clove Room.
