Hi there,
I've decided not to do a gatecrash as well. Are you considering to have one or have you decided?
Groom to pick up bride and tea ceremony - grooms hse tea ceremony - church ceremony - dinner banquet

Thanks! I also dont intend to have any gatecrash but wonder is it gonna be alittle weird the groom jus go into bride hse and fetch the bride haha.

I actually don't want gatecrash. My idea was to have just my groom pick me up from my house then go but not having gatecrash has alot of complications on my side. So might have to have lor.

I also wish to get away from the gate crash but need to groom just come and fetch me. We aiming for a lunch ROM banquet so need to settle everything in morning.
But can someone advise what is the procedure like?
No need brothers and sisters in this case right?
Early morning groom still need to take bridal car and the bride bro open the door then bring groom in to bride house like that?

If doing lunch, like me, after fetching me, we will proceed straight to hotel for solemnisation & tea ceremony.

Most couples who have a Catholic wedding meet at the church, so they don't have a gatecrashing, but I've been seeing more and more couples do without gatecrashing even if they aren't Catholic. Some couples do it because of time issues, and others just don't find a gatecrashing meaningful or tasteful.

Personally, I'd still recommend a couple of close friends over in the morning to add some warmth to the environment while getting ready. Afterall, shared experiences are always more meaningful : )

Here is a wedding that didn't have a gatecrashing. Still works if you ask me : )

Cheers, Ami

Thanks all,
I will probably ask a few friends to come over but skip the gate crashing part. Funny thing is, my bf seems to be a bit disappointed over my decision. :p

That's actually kinda funny! Most grooms will heave a big sigh of relief. ;)

Or maybe he's disappointed that his xiongdi won't get to have some fun in the morning. Some of the xiongdis have elaborate plans to counter the bridesmaids! Those are always super fun to shoot :D

Hi all. My HTB and I are also not going to have gatecrash but I'm hoping to still have the brothers and sisters for simple tasks and photo taking sake. my HTB thinks it's totally unnecessary to have any but I feel the photos will look 'empty'. Kinda stuck to make decision on this..

Well, as a videographer, I've shot many weddings that didn't have gatecrashing but still had friends over in the morning. It helps a lot with the atmosphere : ) I can share that the weddings I've seen that don't have friend's company in the morning tend to be a bit quiet. Maybe compromise by having some cousins over? It really helps to have the enthusiasm of some peers and loved ones : )

Yes! I also feel the atmosphere will not be as 'lively' compared to having friends around despite having relatives around. And besides I think there's still tasks the sisters can help out like handling misc stuff/carrying the gown/changing of gown for tea reception...
I'm hoping I can convince my HTB to give in.

I was contemplating whether to do gatecrashing as well or not. House is very messy, and if fetch from hotel it will be kinda far away. ):
And we have to go through church wedding as well..
Might consider Willie and Meryl's way as posted by The Wedding Pararazzi. :)
