amy, basically all the food is pretty good. i like their vegetarian beehoon, hong kong mee, curry chicken, sweet and sour fish, sze chuan fish, luo han zai, butter prawns. these are the dishes that we've tried before
My brother actually engaged them for mini buffet (those cost $15 per head and minimum must order for 20 pax)on my niece's birthday. Though the food came in microwavable containers, but they were still warm... The curry chicken is nice, spicy! Yummy!
i am looking at their mini buffet as well, just wondering they put all the food in those plastic containers or in the disposable aluminium foil trays? Is their servings sufficient for 20 pax or more than enuf?
I remembered that all the food were placed in those plastic containers... not in trays....
Their servings is more than enough... There were lots of left overs that day after the party... Or maybe, we didn't eat a lot... but the food is really yummy!
we also ordered from neo garden for buffets at both my parents' and in laws'.
their food is good and i even recommended my sister to order their take-out dinners.
you can go to their website to have a look at their dishes. their signature dishes are highlighted.
I think I saw curry chicken (yummy but spicy), sweet and sour chicken, prawns (cereal?) and crayfish (black pepper), pineapple thai-style rice, chicken chop... etc.....
This is all I can remember... I highly recommend the 1st 2 dishes... hee hee...
I just used them for my housewarming at end of Jul. They provide very good customer service ie. calling you a few times prior to the actual event to confirm the food and offer extra advice. on my housewarming, they came half an hr early to set up the buffet table.
and most of my guests said that the food is excellent and asked for the caterer's name
used them before in dec 04. food was gd and presentation was v v nice! timely delivery and they provided v good sales support and aftersales services. they r slightly more ex compared to other caterers though...
engaged neogarden for lunch at my IL's place after my tea ceromony in Jun '05. feedback from my relatives & friends on their food is positive, no complaints...their service is also timely and provide gd customer service by calling to confirm the details when we book via their website.
Has anyone tried Deli Hub? It is a subsidiary of Neo Garden. Both are sharing the same office building. Deli Hub is halal and Neo Garden is non-halal. DH just opened less than 1 yr. So they are now having a promo at 15% discount to some of the buffet menus. I went to DH and tried the food. It is yummy. Same standard as Neo Garden. Hope when they make in big quantity, it will still be as nice. I am having it for my church wedding.
need to check with you..saw from their website tat they dont provide tables and warmers..how do u gals find space for the food? i understand that the food is contained microwavable containers..izzit true? i want to get them for my Ad thus the qns..thanx in advance
I think it's mini buffet which you are talking about if Neo Garden uses microwavable containers. The mini buffet is for a minimum of 10 pax. We ordered it for my niece's birthday last Sunday. As usual, the food is yummy!!
yup, enagage their halal subsidiary company - Deli Hub..thumbs up! all my relatives and friends were impressed with the quality of the food and the pricing was reasonable coz they had a promotion going on...
had deli hub for my church wedding last week. My guests commented that the food is very nice. THe first to be gone is the choc eclair. got leftover food, my guests were "fighting" to "tabao" back the food. My MIL is very happy. SHe commented that the food is good. Service also very good.. Deco not bad.
My home catering is by BEST Catering also by Neo Garden. It's very good. The Yang Chow Fried Rice is also very nice.
No regrests with Neo garden and their subsidiaries. I will definitely engage them again in my future functions.
Their menu is quite comprehensive & even for a 'Chicken' item, u get to select how it is done. Here's their URL: www.neogarden.com.sg
Select a menu based on budget & u will certainly be spoilt for choices
My fav is Rendang Chicken. Tried this & their curry chicken, & rendang chicken totally beats the former hands down.
At my cousin's wedding she ordered black pepper chicken, also very yummy! By far the fav dessert amongst my relatives is BoBo ChaCha
My wedding just over on 19 Nov 2005. Had Deli Hub Catering (Halal version of Neo Garden) which is Neo Garden subsidiary. Very good comments from our guests. Some even ask who is the caterer and ask for Neo's contact number for their own Christmas Party buffet. Highly Recommended. I will definitely use Neo again for my future functions.
Considering whether to use Neo Garden as well. Did u all get them for church wedding? How is the layout and presentation of the food, as well as food portions? Are there any recommended dishes? Any person tt u would recommend me to liaise with? Sorry for the many questions. Just starting out on my search for a caterer... =)
