Need JP - Getting desperate

Hi,

I am getting desperate the find a JP to solemnise my marriage on Sunday 5th March 2006.

I've called all the popular ones mentioned on the various forums and none are available. I've also tried cold calling some from the ROM list, but found many out of town or no longer active.

Can anyone please recommend me some JP's and their contact details if you have them. Would be grest if they were first hand recommendations (e.g. you've seen them "in action" at other weddings) - I find the whole process of picking someone randomly off a list quite strange!)

My FH's preference is for a male JP...

Any and all recommendations will be appreciated.

u can call Yu Shi Ming. He's was my JP as well as my SIL's JP. Very clear in his speech and humourous guy. dun have his contact no now though, u'll have to search on the ROM list..

I rang Prof Yu Shi Ming and he's available for my ROM. Such a huge relief!
Now that that's sorted, I realised that I can't file yet as neither me nor FH have been in Singapore for 15 days - we just got back from a trip to Hong Kong... Sigh.

My solemnization is a rather last minute one on 06/06/06 so I'm afraid I can't find a JP. In fact, I have trouble finding a venue too. Other than Prof Yu, does anyone have any other suggestions? (Just in case he is also not available...)

How do you find Prof Yu? Does he meet up with couples and assist them in filing in the forms? Having a headache now as still dunno who to confirm as my solemnisor

Hi i just called Mr Koh, he recommend Mr. Phang also, just engaged him as my solemniser in July. seems like no comment on him currently. anyone have idea how is him? i wish he is ok.

Hi All,

My AD is in Oct 06 and now I'm really panicking as there's a huge list of JPs and Grassroots leaders and so on and so forth but we do not know exactly which one is good. (good as in do not read out the vows from the paper, that's the minimum I expect)

I've called all the popular ones mentioned on the various forums and none are available.
Will anyone be able to help?

Hi Fiona,

Try my JP - Mr. Tang Kan Hoy .. he's a really friendly and responsible eldery man.. have booked him months in advance and suprisingly, he text me just days before to reaffrim my venue, I believe he was checking the directory for the venue.. I wanted to let him know the exact direction just days before but he got to me first .. was grateful for that ..

Do you know of any JP who is willing to conduct the Solemnisation in a Buddhist Temple?

I have tried calling Both Mr Chan and Prof Yu. Both cannot make it. Dunno issit not comfortable with the venue.

My ROM Date is 24 DEC 07

Mine is not done in a Buddhist Temple, but my solemniser Mr Chia Ti Yu (H/P96545465) told me during our conversation that he conducts in Buddhist Temples quite regularly.

Those who need it done in temples can contact him.

We were desperate once in the JP hunt, and our search ended when Mr David Naidu readily accepted our request on the phone.

Since then, he took much initiative to follow up and even invited us to his cosy "Naiduville" for a briefing that clears the mist ahead of many clueless couples.

Now my man and I have a better idea of what it takes to say "I do" on The Day.

I am desperate in hunting for a JP.. Called Mr Yeo, Mr Chia, Mr Tang, Prof Yu, Mr Kok, Mr Chan.. All unable to make it..

My ROM date is a hot date (20 Sept).. Was advise to confirmed the venue than called the JP.. Now can't get them. anyone please advise any JP?

Would you happen to know if Mr David Naidu is still a JP? 'Cos we can't seem to locate his name in the ROM's list of JPs..
