hi, I am currently resident outside singapore, I would like to have a small wedding in singapore, not go by any tradition but simple, intimate ceremony as we are going to registed somewhere else. I am looking for some beach wedding idea, maybe some island in sentosa? but i really don't know where to start? shall i pay for the usage of the place and arrange catering myself? I don really want hotle banquet room, can hotel still arrange for me? Hope you all could share a bit experience with me? or recommend some wedding planner? plssssssss...

Hi Sarah, wow that date is very popular. I think you better call up fast to ask as most of the hotels are fully booked. Not sure about the outdoor ones though.

Then, when all is set, you can start asking them about extra charges. Usually, they do have a planner to help you unless you opt for external help as well. =)

jingying, you are awesome, thank you very much for all the information,I have been contact with rasa & sentosa resort, seems fully or at least on the waitting list, I am now in Finland, can only arrive singapore one week prior to the date, have to do everything online, as i really have a small group, i am thinking those cafe on the beach, any suggestion? everybody is telling me the southest Island is open for public, not sure if i could have outside catering company to organise a buffet there? how much i have to pay extra for rental of the island, who shall I talk to, I emailed mice sentosa, no one reply me yet, just realised the date is so popular, getting a bit worried.. HELP....
hi Sarah, are you aiming for dinner or lunch? Wow that's tricky. Hm...let me see if there's any cafe on the beach that organise weddings. It may be easier if they have that because if you order extra tentage for the wedding, may charge extra and need to look for other organisers.
What's MICE sentosa? hehee, is it a cafe?
usually if the cafe provides buffet, it would be great. if not, yeah have to look for external buffet catering, which means extra charge. Is your ROM the same day as your wedding day?
Also, do you have an alternative date for standby? I have 3 dates when I am out looking for venues. So that I have more choices.

Hi Jing, are you a wedding planner by profession? Thank you very much, you are really talking to my heart, my ROM is not going to be in SG, the ceremony in SG is more for family to offically announce our marriage...A cafe on sentosa beach could be the best.... We really hope to hold the ceremony on 11.11, a good way to remember....
Hi Sarah, actually I am not a wedding planner by profession =) I am interested in helping with coordination and planning though. I can also recommend you a few wedding planners that I have researched though I did not use them cos I am planning my own wedding and helping my brother with his as well.

Hei Jing, my best wishes to you and your borther's wedding, lot of work ah? I emailed Tanjong beach club, not sure about the price,if it can be reasonable enough, it could be a good choice. Looks like it is a new place, not much information about it though.... When is your wedding? Have you got idea where you want to have?

1-twentysix seems like a good choice for beach wedding out of the usual hotel venues. small weddings have so much more flexibility you can try do any themes you like
may i know if you are local? if you're planning a destination wedding, how about exploring other destinations like bali etc.
but if you're local, can get help from a close friend or a family member - your mum or sister - to visit a few of the venues you have in mind, take some pictures and get some quotes so it's easier for you to make decisions.
