Perhaps the party who is in the military should check with his/her colleagues? there's an SOP somewhere
We will be doing the military march in thingy too and I'm leaving it to my fiance (who's in the military) to handle it
Usually its done as the first march in. everyone will be in their number 1. To make it grand, the sword will be drawn for the couples to walk through. Some couples like more class so just before they reach the steps leading to the stage, the groom has to give the bride his most passionate kiss or else the final sword won't be retracted. There is so 'formal emcee script', just a short announcement and some cheeky fun will do. Oh... try not to use confetti but use bubble gun instead, cuz half the time the guests will also misfire too early or too much, messing up the shots for the photographer.
