Pan Pac's ballroom (ocean ballroom) is elongated in shape and as each side of the aisle can only have two rows of tables, there might be a possiblity that those sitting at the back might not be able to see the front so clearly. Besides that, their screen is located at the back of the ballroom, which we find a little weird. Hee. But i must say that it has a long march-in and good for those wedding gowns with long trains.

I have also shortlisted M.C for dinner banquet on year 08 and will be attending their upcoming wedding show too. But it seems that their march in is quite short and do agree that their carpet looks orbit...! I have heard feedbacks about their food which is not good and not served warm. Is that so? Has anyone attend wedding dinner before at M.C?

no more OCC for me. Cos FH said is too mafan to ferry ppl in and out.
So i think most likely do everything in MC.
Poolside is nice, but my worrying part is will the pool be opened for their guests while there is a wedding going on there. If they are open, the possibility of having some bikinis at the backdrop of your pics are high.

Anyways, i can't wait for this sun's wedding show. Really would like to see their decorations.
But are u still going to book with them first even though ur AD is end of 2008?

Went down to the wedding show today...i find the new decor quite nice and the carpet does not seem that bad with the set-up of the tables and chairs. Hee.

I've attended the wedding show on Sun. Basically, the perks offered for weekend packages are 1 nite stay for wedding helpers, 24 bottles of red wine for 35 confirmed tables, 9 course food tasting for 10 ppl, ROM set up by the poolside, 2 barrels of beer and the usual like free usage of LCD etc

We have not booked with them yet cos we have not confirmed our AD. My fengshui master said the tong shu is out in June only but we really like the MC offers. Now making our decision carefully and Cathy said can confirm with her by end of this week so that we will not be forfeited of the 1.5K deposit

Were u there? I was there, the show overall a bit boring not as good as Carl though. Just feel something is missing.

Anyways, i too have yet to book with MC.
I'm still thinking of their perks. I really scared i cannot meet their min requirements. I also dunno how. Very Vexed.

I saw their poolside solemnization. Nothing tat fantastic leh. I find it quite noisey due to the swimming pool.

So do u mean u already paid a deposit of 1.5k with them?

Btw my feng shui master said the dates are out for 2nd had of 2008. I just submitted my registrations to the master.

Hi all,

I went to have a look after the show (they were packing already)and setting up for the banquet that night. The flowers seems a bit little and the backdrop quite dark. Haven't seen it with the candles lighted up though. Was quite disappointed.

If i remember correctly, here are the colours for the ballroom - carpet: mainly brown and blue, curtains: dirty green and backdrop: velvet red. Actually they are the same colours as shown in this picture http://singapore-merchantcourt.swissotel.com/z963/picsbig/z14570p013.jpg. But the backdrop decor and aisle decor are slightly different.

Do choose a striking colour for your EG, so that you will stand out.

Hmmm, i think you can start sourcing around for your BS now. It's never too early. Hehe. I signed up with mine 2 years ago. For negotiating, it would probably be good to trade-off those items which you feel are not necessary, for something else which is more important to you and hubby. That's what we did for our BS and MC.

My coordinator is Cathy. She's really nice. Is yours Cathy as well? We will not be doing our solemnisation at MC; don't want to spend too much on that. So we chose somewhere else which is cheaper. Anyway our solemnisation will be this coming June. Hee. I've seen photos of solemnisation at the MC poolside. Think it's really nice. You might want to consider doing yours there.
