Hi godbird,

Both dates does not clash anyone, but i can't check if it will be a general tong shu good date or not till the tong shu is out in July/Aug period.

For Bazi Wedding Dates Consultation, it is part of my consultation service and i do charge for it, else will be unfair to my paying clients. Hope you understand

Hi meander

5th June 2011 is a general tong shu good date but this date clash Rooster, hence cannot be used.

Which mths you looking at for this year? For 2012, the tong shu is not out yet, hence the only way and correct way is use bazi to select.

Hope this helps

Hi Sandy

the groom is born Rooster yr hence 2011 rabbit yr clashes to him. The bride is born Dog yr, hence 2012 dragon yr clashes to you. Hence ideally you should do it in 2013 if possible
happy.gif

Else you will need to pick a date accoriding to bazi to make sure the date is really good for you, and not just a generic tong shu good date which may turn out to be bad if the date and bazi are not compatible.

Hi Cynthia

U can invite, BUT by right they themselves should not attend any wedding within 1 yr and they should reject your invitation. this is a respect for the deceased.

you can attend her wedding/be jie mei so long as your wedding and hers are more than 3 (or 4 months depending on your parents belief) months apart.

Hope this helps

Hi Master Tong,

I understand that the Year of Snake clashes for those born in the year of Pig. Me and HTB are both pigs but would like to plan for wedding in 2013 as 2012 is too soon and 2014 is too far. Is there something we can do to still proceed with our wedding in 2013?

Thanks!

Dear Master Tong,
1) Do you feng-shui analysis service for new house (planning & advice needed BEFORE renovation) & what are the charges like?
2) Dunno if you can help abt An-Chuang: Our new house will come in late 2012. Meanwhile, after our customary -
a) Can we don’t do the whole An-chuang thingy until our new house arrive? Meaning, is it a must to sleep in An-chuang bed immediately after customary?
b) If we choose to An-Chuang in MIL’s house with a new double-bed, & when new house arrive (a yr later), is it a must to shift the “An-chuang†bed over to the new house? or is it not necessary?
c) Can the bride don’t stay with the MIL & her husband after customary & contd to live in her own mother’s house until new house arrive?

Thnks much.

Hi Master Tong,

We are planning to hold our wedding in Nov/Dec of 2012 or between Jan- Mar 2013.

Is the year of snake, i.e. 2013 suitable for us to get married? Or will 2012 (end) be better?

Groom: Nov 1984 (Rat)
Bride: Oct 1985 (ox)

Grooms Dad: Rooster
Grooms Mum: Dog

Brides Dad: Rat
Brides Mum: Rabbit

Which would be the best dates to get married?

Also, if we don't have the groom's time of birth, will we be able to calculate the bazi?

Thanks, really appreciate your help!

Hi Master Tong,

My fiance's parents had engaged a shifu to pick a date for us and we supplied him with our Ba Zi, horoscopes and such. However, he did not ask for his and my parents' horoscopes.

And so, our actual day was decided to be on 15th December 2011. However, we found out that that day actually clashes with dog (both my fiance and father are born in the year of dog).

But the shifu said that that day only clashes with those that are born in the dog year of 1959 (which is my father), and it will only clash when the bride jin men into the groom's family (meaning my father won't be present there to clash).

May I ask whether 15th December 2011 is a good day for my fiance and I to get married? Here are our details:

Groom: 31st Jan 1982 (Dog)
Groom's father: Chicken 1945
Groom's mother: Cow 1949

Bride: 2nd December 1986 (Tiger)
Bride's father: Dog 1959
Bride's mother: Rat 1961

The shifu has also chosen 23rd October 2011 for our Guo Da Li, is it unusual to have the Guo Da Li more than a month before the actual day?

Lastly, we've chosen 2nd July 2011 for our ROM. Is the day suitable?

Sorry for the many questions but I've been quite worried and frustrated over the picking of dates. I hope Master Tong would be able to help us, thank you so so much!

Hi Master Tong,
Please can you advice if we choose 24 June 2012 for our weddng date, would it be ok? also is there such a thing that people should not get married in June as they say its in the middle of the year and marriage will be broken?

Bride: Rat
Groom: Rat

Bride's mum: Dog
Bride's dad: Monkey

Groom's mum: Rooster
Groom's dad: Horse

Really appreciate your advice as we are torn on the dates as 1 side's parents are insistent that we should not hold our wedding in June because of the superstition. If this date is no good, can you kindly suggest other dates? Many thankss!

Hi Eileen Quek

the 2012 tong shu is not out yet, hence i can't give any 2012 dates yet. The only way to select is using bazi.

Can you provide the animal zodiac signs of everyone instead of the year? As year alone I cannot determine the animal signs...(born in jan or dec is different sign).

Hi Lilian Lim

This date clashes to Pig and none of you are born in Pig yr. However, to check if it is a general good date or not will have to wait till the tong shu is out in July/Aug period

Hope this helps

Hi Hipopo,

See my replies below:

1) Do you feng-shui analysis service for new house (planning & advice needed BEFORE renovation) & what are the charges like?

Yes of course. That is my core service. For the rates and more info, pls drop me an email at [email protected]

No. An Chuang is meant for wedding purpose. It is our chinese wedding customs. If after wedding, no pt doing anymore. Even if you don't stay together after wedding, still have to do at groom's side (or whichever side you sleeping at) for symbolic purpose.

b) If we choose to An-Chuang in MIL’s house with a new double-bed, & when new house arrive (a yr later), is it a must to shift the “An-chuang†bed over to the new house? or is it not necessary?

It is not necessary. U can get a new bed again.

c) Can the bride don’t stay with the MIL & her husband after customary & contd to live in her own mother’s house until new house arrive?

this is up to your personal preference. There is no right or wrong answer. We r in the 21st century already, so long as everyone is happy, staying apart does not break a marriage

Hi Love

That day clashes to Dragon, hence none of you. Some tong shu list this date as good for wedding, some not. Hence generaly it is an ok date in general. If it fits both your bazi , it will be perfect.

Note that bazi is not taken into consideration yet as a good date in the tong shu can still be deemed as inauspicious if the date and both your bazi are not compatible.

Hi meander

Aug is 7th mth, Sep is a bad month for wedding, hence the dates will be from Oct onwards

- 18/10, 30/10, 3/11, 9/11, 12/11, 21/11, 24/11

Hope this helps

Hi smileysq

12/11/2011 is a general tong shu good date for wedding. Doesn't clash anyone (clash to Ox).

Note that bazi is not taken into consideration yet as a good date in the tong shu can still be deemed as inauspicious if the date and both your bazi are not compatible.

Hi Summer

Both yrs are ok as they don't clash to your. If you want to fine tune which is the best yr, will have to check both your bazi. Year alone cannot tell this.

I need the time of birth for the bazi, Can get from birth cert. If no time of birth, may or may not be able to calculate, i need to see the birthday to determine that.

The 2012 tong shu is not out yet till July/Aug this year. The only way to calculate 2012 dates will be using Bazi. For 2013 dates, i will start the calculation this coming June/July period.

For the 2012 dates you mentioned, all the dates don't clash to your. But will have to wait for tong shu to be out first to check for general good dates.

Hi Master Tong, the dates are as below:

Groom: 18 Feb 1976
Groom's Dad: 29 March 1925
Groom's Mum: 27 Feb 1937

Bride: 10 June 1980
Bride's Dad: 26 March 1954
Bride's Mum: 25 Nov 1956

Hi Yvonne

To me, clash means clash. That day 15/12 indeed clashes to Dog, and since Groom and Bride's dad are Dog, this day should not even be picked in the first place! There are 364 days more, why pick this date that clashes? If you ask me, i don't recommend this date due to the clashes.

Guo da Li is normally 2 weeks to 1 month before wedding (unless your parents want to do it earlier).

For ROM, 2/7 clashes to Rat, which is bride's mum, hence not a good date as well.

Hope this helps. No worries, i can understand the frustration.

Hi Mabel

That date clashes to Dog, hence not suitable to be used.

Question - also is there such a thing that people should not get married in June as they say its in the middle of the year and marriage will be broken?

[David] - No such thing. I don't buy this superstition as there is no logical basis for it. Maybe you can ask them which is a better month? 8th or 9th lunar mth (as these are the most popular mths for elderly)? Then isn't this no good too since it is 3/4 husband and wife? Then does it mean everyone got to get married in Dec for a "full" marriage? Hope you get what i mean
happy.gif
But then, wedding is complicated, political and involves whole family. If your parents insist on that, still have to do it to make them happy...but i want you to be clear there is no such thing in feng shui
happy.gif

The 2012 tong shu is not out yet till July. Hence the only way is to use bazi, which is also the correct method as tong shu is generic and for mass consumption only.

Hi Master Tong,

Understand that this coming Lunar 8th month is a "Sui Po" which means the month clashes with the Year as explained in your previous posts.

May I know what will happen if couple were to go ahead to get married in Sept 2011? What are the consequences?

Thank You.

Master Tong,

Thank you for answering my queries! As 15th Dec clashes with both the groom and father, would it be okay if I hold the wedding dinner on 15th Dec, but choose another earlier date for our tea ceremony and such? It doesn't matter for the wedding dinner, right? May I ask whether there are any dates suitable before 15th Dec to hold our tea ceremony and such?

I've gone to your website and read an article about animal zodiac sign. The article mentioned that a zodiac sign is based on Li Chun, which usually falls on the 4th or 5th Feb. Since my fiance was born on the 7th day of Chinese New Year (31st January 1982), he was deemed to be born in the year of dog (as it's after the 1st day of CNY). However, after reading the article, I realised that basing your zodiac sign on whether you're born before or after the 1st day of CNY is wrong. Therefore, I was wondering whether my fiance could actually be a rooster instead of dog?! If he's a rooster, the date 15th Dec would not clash with him then! (will still clash with my father though)

Sorry for my long-windedness and thank you in advance!

Thank you so much MASTER TONG... Btw, may i check if 6 nov 2011 or 15 Jan 2012 is also ok? Due to no hotel availability.

Bride -Pig
Groom - Dog

Bride's parents: horse and horse both (1954)
groom's dad: rooster (1933)
groom's mum: dog (1934)

FOR ROM we are looking at possibly 08Nov11 which is also the bride's bday.

I will consult my mum and will contact you again when we want to do the BAZI.

Thanks alot, look fwd to your reply.
