Hi caredy,

As much as i want to help you in the area of general good dates for year 2012, the Tong Shu for 2012 is not out yet, so i will not know or be able to select general Tong Shu auspicious date for wedding for 2012 yet. Right now, the only way and also the right and accurate way of doing it will be using Bazi to select dates. FYI, a date reflected auspicious in the Tong Shu may still be bad for both of you if the date chosen is not compatible wtih both your Bazi.

As for Bazi wedding dates selection, it is part of my consultation service to my clients, hence i can't provide it here free in the forum or it will be unfair to my clients who paid for my service. Hope you understand.

If you have any particular date in mind, just post it here. I can advise you if it is a bad day as there are some days that are definitely bad and cannot be used for marriage; and some days that will clash to either of you or your parents, so cannot be used as well.

Hi aiming84

All good dates for GDL between 1st to 10th Nov clashes to your/parents, hence no dates. U can want to do it later or earlier.

This date does not clash to anyone (clash Ox), and is a general tong shu good date for wedding.

**Note that this is a general date only. Both your bazi are not taken into consideration yet as the general date can still be considered inauspicious if the date and both your bazi are not compatible

I understood year 2012 is not a good year for marriage for people born in the Year of Dog.

Groom-29/04/1982 and Bride-25/5/1982. Both were born in the Year of Dog.

Pls help me check and advise if it is
Q1) Ok to get married in 2011?
Q2) 26 Nov 2011(Sat) a good date for marriage based on our DOBs?

2011 will be ok as it doesn't clash to any of you. Of course to be precise which is a better yr, both your bazi has to be taken into consideration.

26th Nov 2011 is a very very bad date for wedding. Avoid at all cost

Here are some general tong shu dates for wedding:

- 23/07, 15/10, 30/10, 20/11

These are the only weekends that don't clash to any of you.

You referring to just banquet dinner only? If only just a banquet, not so impt for a good date, but no harm using one as well.

that day does not clash to anyone (clash Snake). However, whether if it is a general tong shu good date or not will have to wait for it to come out next yr ard July period.

Now the only way and correct way is to use Bazi to select the 2012 dates.

the year alone cannot be used to see compatibility. the whole bazi (year, month , day and hr) has to be taken into consideration to analyse compatibility

i heard that 2012 is bad for the pple born in the year of the dog to get married, but if I am born in the year of the rat and my hubby year of the dog and we consult your services using bazi, will there still be an available date? Thanks!

b) Can we attend birthday celebrations or is it all celebrations?

c) If we cannot attend our friends' wedding that takes place within the timeframe of our own wedding, can we still give red packet or gifts to them?

I understand that 8th May 2011 is a super bad day for customary wedding.

I was given the date as the date is good for our bazi. So if the date matches our bazi but conflicts with tong shu, will it be okay?

Groom : 12 Dec 1980 (Monkey)
Bride : 5th May 1979 (Goat)

Ideally should not be held in 2012 coz when the year clashes, the whole yr is bad. If really no choice, we can try to choose a good date to do it (but last resort..)

there are 1001 chinese superstitions and traditions. There is really no right or wrong answer (as one one in this world can prove it), just up to personal belief, so don't get too stressed about it

David: Normally in old days it is 100 days, but some interpret as 3 months, some 4 months (since it falls in between) therefore if you want to be specific you can take it as 100 days. But to me generally 3 mths will suffice.

David: Friend's birthday is ok to attend.

c) If we cannot attend our friends' wedding that takes place within the timeframe of our own wedding, can we still give red packet or gifts to them?

David: You can give red packets on other days no problem. So long as you don't attend the wedding, you are safe.

Hi ahbelle,

That day is a Month Breaker day, by default already a bad day. Chinese call it a ç ´æ—¥. Hence normally we don't choose this day , no matter good or bad for the bazi. For this date, most hotels will have this date available as normally most masters won't choose this date (only those who don't believe in all these will use this date..).

That date clash to Dog.

The date cannot clash with your or your parents. Clashing will your will impact the marriage, and how serious will depends on both your bazi. Clash with parents will affect the relationship between you and your parents that is clashed.

Date selection is a form of astrology. If the date chosen is bad, we cannot do "something' to cure it or change it (as we cannot change the stars and planets positioning). Best is to change the date if possible.

Bride: 10 Aug 1980 (monkey)
Groom: 11 Aug 1976 (dragon)

Bride’s Father : 1946 (dog)
Bride’s mother: 1949 (cow)

Groom’s Father: 1952
Groom’s mother: deceased.

Please help us with the wedding dates/ROM. Should we do it separately or together?
