Hi Master Tong,
If we are moving in to our new house (2 months before our actual date), do we need to do our "An chuang" during our move in or a few days before our actual date?

Appreciate your advice.

Hi eshanya,

You can do the tea ceremony anytime between 9am - 10.59am for that day.

Hope this helps

Hi littleprince,

11 Nov is a general good date for start of reno. You can use this date. Time to start will be 0900hrs - 1059hrs.

Note that this is a geenral date only from tng shu. The direction of your house is not taken into consideration yet as the proper method to determine start of reno and move in date will have to take your house direction (feng shui) into consideration. Without it, the date from the tong shu can still be deemed inauspicious if the date and house direction do not match.

Hope this helps

Hi Master Tong,

The chinese "Xi chong Xi" ... how does it define? Only to weddings or is also extended to pregnancy?

Say, got a friend who's pregnant in her 1st trimester and on top of that, her own mother passed away 6 months ago... does that make her in the "Xi chong Xi" category when it comes to attending other's wedding?

Thanks

Hi Master Tong
We are planning to get married next year which is year of Tiger. He is born in year of monkey so his mum disagrees. Anything that can be done or is the whole year really out? As for me, I am a dog. Any year I cannot get married then?

Hi tulips,

Normally if a person is pregnant, it is a superstition that she should not attend other people's weddings as well. So it is not just weddings alone

Hi concerto,

Normally 3 months before and after your wedding, you cannot attend other people's wedding. Hence, it is not only Nov you need to avoid, but from Aug 2010 - Feb 2011.

Let me know if u want to revise your wedding dates.

Hi Jean,

The whole yr is out for him. Those born in Monkey yr are not suitable to get married in Tiger yr and Tiger and Monkey clashes. For you, it will be Dragon yr that is not suitable for marriage.

Thank you Master Tong.

I think I read somewhere before about siblings getting married in the same year is not advisable. Is it the same lunar year or the calendar year?

Dear Master Tong,

Thanks for your reply.

Since 10/10/10 is not a good general date. Any weekend date you can advise us from June 2010 to Dec 2010?

Hi Xuan Sim,

As much as i want to help you in the area of general good dates for year 2011, the Tong Shu for 2011 is not out yet, so i will not know or be able to select general Tong Shu auspicious date for wedding for 2011 yet. Right now, the only way and also the right and accurate way of doing it will be using Bazi to select dates. FYI, a date reflected auspicious in the Tong Shu may still be bad for both of you if the date chosen is not compatible wtih both your Bazi.

As for Bazi wedding dates selection, it is part of my consultation service to my clients, hence i can't provide it here free in the forum or it will be unfair to my clients who paid for my service. Hope you understand.

At this moment, i can help you to check if any dates clashes to your or if it is a defnite bad date for wedding.

For your 2 dates, both will not clash to any of you or your parents (clash to Tiger).

Hope this helps

Hi dreamz,

There is no such thing, so not to worry

There is only conflicting animal signs of the day. Those that belong to those animal signs must 'hide' before the groom/bride steps into the house. They cannot see each other before the bride/groom steps in.

Hope this helps

Hi Veron C,

Yes it is a must. ROM is the official date both of you become husband and wife. It is very very important to select a good date and time to sign the papers.

Hi Bee Hua,

If you have any particular date in mind, just post it here. I can advise you if it is a bad day as there are some days that are definitely bad and cannot be used for marriage; and some days that will clash to either of you or your parents, so cannot be used as well.
