Hi oliviacnn, was tended to by aih kim as well, she seems okay so far. we went down impromptu as we were nearby and she actually met up with us and showed us around, while explaining the package she also gave tips on the florists and suggested we went for minimum number of tables and upgrade on a need to basis.

Jennifer has left!! And I've just been transferred to Aih Kim!! I'm so worried now T_T And my Chinese is really jialat.. ^^;

There were a few things that Jennifer told me verbally, like how a tea ceremony room and tea will be provided FOC if I require it. It wasn't mentioned in my contract, now I'm afraid Aih Kim will tell me otherwise =(

yes i was changed to aih kim too... realized when i tried whatsapping jennifer and aih kim replied instead. so far aih kim seems fine... prompt in replying my whatsapps and following up with my requests... she mentioned that if it's jennifer's agreement w me thru verbal agreement, she will 'try her best to accommodate'... so hope it's ok!! *cross fingers*
i think tea ceremony room is confirm ok one.. it's the same as ROM room de so no worries! :):)

but initially i was quite upset that jennifer didnt inform me lar... cos i only signed the contract a while ago only... just within a few weeks she left! heard from other wedding coordinators that some responsible ones will inform their clients to preempt them first... so i feel abit like "abandoned" haha... but maybe mbs got different policies idk!

Yah, I was quite surprised when I suddenly received an email from Aih Kim telling me Jennifer is gone. Very sudden.. Really cross fingers that all will be ok! :rolleyes:

I don't think MBS really cares about negotiating? I didn't negotiate much, because they already have everything I want, except the number of parking tickets which is very little for me T_T Unless you want to change certain perks which I didn't bother. I just asked for what I wanted, if they can give, they gave me, if they cannot, they either asked me to pay or just told me impossible.

Just met up with Aih Kim last week and she made us waited for like 20mins or so? Anyway we were quite pissed and her introductions for the ballrooms are not really very detailed. However, the menu and the perks are really good.

so far aik kim is fine for me, replies promptly etc. previously when i met jennifer, i waited for at least 30 min to 45 min? hahahaha. and i even rushed down from a friend's wedding just to meet her :/

Just curious, any one here has taken their 50pax candy bar (under their wishes which you can either pick one or two from the list depending on your package), and happen to have pictures of it?

Never seen their candy bar before.. But I was thinking of going for their next wedding show which should be early next year I hope, and decide from there =D I didn't get a chance to see the wedding cards at the last show also ^^;
I'm not taking their skybridge ROM, but I saw it at their show, it was super beautiful! At least to me it is lar, with the bay view =D

Aih kim is the coordinator and andy is the floor manager...the 2 of them are good...help us a lot throughout the dinner...mbs suite was amazing..basically we have no complain ....highly recommended ....

I have 13 bottles of Jacob's Creek Merlot Vintage 2013 left over from my wedding. This Merlot is medium-bodied as well, and has the same blueberry and oak finishes too.
Our guests were quite happy with it.
We don't drink wine, so we hope to sell them off to people who will use it more than us.
If you are keen please let me know? The price we bought was $28.95 (you can check that at Cold Storage), but happy to sell at $18.

I dunno why but zi ling gave me the impression that she does not really care when I request an appointment on sat due to work schedule she merely said she is not available and ask me to go on weekday during office hour.. Feel hurt leh.. Is it because I only asked for lunch package?:(:(:(

Anyone here book ur banquet at mbs during wedding show? Can anyone share with me what's the extra perks. I'm seriously considering mbs but not sure if I should sign up now or wait till their next wedding show. My AD will only be in jan 2016 and we have a few weekend to choose so I guess there is still time for me to wait. But need to check out the perks to see if it is worth the wait. :)

may I know where you do your makeup before the banquet? is it in the suite or in one of the small ballrooms at the convention centre?

I understand for solemnisation at MBS, we need to pay $500 for AV equipment rental for the function room. May I check whether any brides here know what does this consist of? Do you all hire other vendors for this instead? Thanks in advance!

HI ,i got quoted $200 plus is the basic system like mic and speaker.But end up i decided to bring in my own equipment...

Do we really need to have mic n speaker ? It is just a small function room. We can easily say using our voice. Right?

Any idea when will MBS be holding the wedding show this year? My AD is likely in June 2016, so I've got the time, but not sure if the perks are really good for the wait... Any advice?

Yes, please wait for the wedding show if you can because the perks are really good. Especially the 10% off total bill.
Last year's wedding show is in March, so this year it should be around the same time (fingers crossed). Or you can email them to check for the exact date.

I had my wedding dinner there last Saturday. It was a very busy day with concert and 5 other weddings on-going.
Overall, the banquet went smoothly and banquet manager was awesome. Food wise is good as well.

Congrats!! :D I heard from my colleague that you have to share the reception area if there's other wedding going on at the same time. Is that true?

On my wedding day, there were 5 other banquets on the same level. Mine is the begonia junior ballroom so my reception area facing the glass windows over-looking the city. My reception area is not mixed/shared with other banquets. But if you choose the last ballroom, e.g. Simpor, Jasmine etc., your guests will have to pass by other pple's receptions before reaching your wedding reception area. But that depends on how many banquets there are on the same day.

My sales manager was not able to give me an exact date of the show when we met him in Jan 2015.

That was the reply the coordinator gave when I asked around late Jan.
Anyway, since its the CNY period, my relatives seem to have a poor impression of MBS service ):

I have done some comparisons with different hotel venues in Singapore, you can check out my reviews to see if MBS is the one for you -http://petitefreckles.blogspot.sg/

Personally for myself, I thought their basic package together with their 1 wedding wish was very tempting already so I didn't request for much things. I chose the 1 additional night stay at the suite as the wedding wish and in addition I just asked for free corkage of 5 bottles of wines and preferential carpark rates for guests (they say they will let me know the rates, will follow up with them soon). Haha i'm not that good at bargaining. I chose it purely based on my liking for the venue and the suite hahaha.

I went to last year's roadshow (i think was Nov 2014) only after signing up so not sure if it will be relevant to you. Hahaha but will try to answer.

1. If i did not remember wrongly, they sent the wish list to me together with the banquet menu when I emailed them for an appt.
2. My wishlist did not come with the 10% off F&B bill, it was just
  • Complimentary 2nd barrel of beer (30L)
  • 1 bottle of house wine per confirmed table
  • Consecutive two-night stay in a Bridal Suite, with breakfast for two at Sands SkyPark
  • Complimentary one-night stay in a Deluxe Room
  • Corkage waiver for 1 bottle of duty paid wine per confirmed table
  • Candy station for up to 50 guests
3. But for us we only booked 20 tables so we can only choose 1 of the above wishes. If you book more than 40 tables, you can choose 2 wishes.

Oh sorry i forgot 1 more thing that i asked to swop, i didn't want beer to be served so I swop for wine instead.
