I went to The Good Earth Nail Spa at PS recently and I was very disappointed with their service and work.. It was my 1st time there and think just my luck to get the poor services loh.. Luckily nvr took any packages with them.
What was communicated to me over phone and in person was very different! Gave me a big shock.. and I was not impressed with their work at all..
If you want to have your nails done in the comfort of your own home, I do have a recommendation. Her name is Julia. She does this during her free time.
Her charges are pretty resonable, $25 per pax (mani & padi), nail art included. As long as you have min 4 pax, she will travel to ur place without any transportation charges.
My mum engaged her to our house to do my nails, as well as my other aunties. There are about 11 of us.
As I've not done any mani or padi before, I have no basis to compare her with anyone or salon but apparantly, my aunties are pretty pleased with her work.
If you are interested, you can contact her directly at 96890918 or email her at [email protected].
As she is a vietnamese, she is more comfortable if you converse with her in mandarin. Just note that her accent might be a little strong. But no worries, just listen carefully to her and you will understand what she is saying. A nice lady.
Jus wonder who can recomment a good nail techician who can do a good job in the gel or arylic nail extension. A normal manicure cannot satisfied me anymore. My natural nails dun seem to be able to hold the varnish anymore.
I have done the french arylic on my wedding day and have since in love with the falseie.
Melissa at Fingerwork does acrylic nail extensions. I have never had them done before, but I suggest you to call Melissa and enquire with her about them. She's very experienced and is very accommodating.
I too had my nails done at Fingerworks, have to say the service is good and Melissa is really accomodating and friendly...have to thank the ladies here for the recommendations as i am currently staying overseas and only back in Singapore for the holidays
Melissa's prices are reasonable so definitely will drop by again when im back...hehe
Serene at Nail Queen does really great acrylic nails. I have a friend who went there to do acrylic nails regularly and her nails always look so long and beautiful. She kept commenting on how good Serene's skill is as she specialise in acrylic nails and most manicurists do not. Serene will also 'educate' you on how to take care of your nails and how to see whether acrylic nails are done correctly. My friend had a very bad experience with another manicurist who had super bad attitude, the manicurist also did her acrylic so badly that her nails kenna infection after that. She went to see a doctor and the doc say its because the acrylic nails is not done properly thats y resulted in the infection. Now she is a regular of Serene and will not go to any other manicure shop because of the infection phobia. She praise her service non-stop to almost every girlfriend of mine until I told her that she should ask Serene to pay her advertisement fee or give her free acrylic treatment, LOL! I did my pedicure with Serene few times and I can say her nail art is really special. Another friend of mine will also be going to Nail Queen to do nail art for her AD.
Hi people, I have a package of 5 Mani + 5 Pedi for S$190 at Nail Palace at the Tiong Bahru Outlet. I have signed up this package just yesterday, but realized that I dont do mani and pedi that often cos I always get scratches. If you are interested to buy this package over, you can email me at [email protected].
I had a very bad experience with manicure n pedicure at a shop on the second level of Holland V, shopping mall. One of my fingers actually bled and become swollen during the session! (n it is still painful now.)Luckily it was not my wedding day the next day n this really spoils my day.
Though it's not intentional n accidents do happen, it's their follow-up action which I am not satisfied with.
I expect at least they should just charge for my pedicure or charge minimal for the manicure.
But the in-charge said that this is quite common and can only give me 20% discount and this 20% can only be used for the next visit. Of course i would not patronise them again!
Worse still, the girl who did my manicure did not apologise to me properly. Instead, it was her colleagues who apologised profusely for her!
I'm simply appalled by their service. It's my first and definitely last visit to this shop.
I am a pedi and mani lover myself, and right now the latest in thing is gel nails. It is sad to hear the painful and bad experience at Holland Village instead of getting ur nail all beautiful painted. In return wat u have paid for is nothig but piss and terrible memory. Please do not turn off by those shop as I m a nail freak lover , I have some photo taken with my fingers cap gel in leopard design n those are my fav designs, and becos I am so lucky and blum into this newly reno nail called ROWE Nail, and I' m currently a regular customer at Rowe Nailz atelier. Who wants to share my experience with all my lovely new found friends here.
You cn try Rowe nailz atelier for a nice mani & pedi done. Price on promo now + it under 50. Place newly reno + supper cozy.
It is located at 3a Craig Rd, please call +65 62234077 and look for Pat for appointment.
I just had my ROM. Recommend this new salon at Delfi Orchard called Couture Nail. Did acrylic nails with floral design. All my friends commented very pretty and elegant when they saw my nails. The nail technician Hui Min is meticulous, which was why it took 3 hours for the whole service with all the flowers and stones in place . My nails looked very natural and thin, unlike my previous bad acrylic experience at another salon which made my nails looked so thick and bulky.
Also had my french pedicure done there by another manicurist. The staff there are all very friendly and pretty. They have a promo for first trial, but I didn't take up coz' I wanted acrylic nails for my ROM. First trial of mani & pedi only $39. I have recommended many of my friends there to try. Thought I'd like to share with you.
Sorry for the late reply, I havent been checking my mail regularly since my wedding in Jan, hee..
Nail Queen is at Far East Plaza, tel is 6836-1393. Emmm... The unit #, if I didnt remember wrongly is #02-109. Must book appt before you go becos Serene is almost always fully booked.
The floor # is a little confusing. The 1st time I went there, I lost my way, hee.. The entrance led directly to the 2nd Floor which I thought was the 1st. After you walk into the mall, just keep right and walk to the end, look to your left and theres the shop.
She did my mani & pedi for my AD and all my friends commented on how nice my nails are. Although her charges is cheaper than outside, it was a still a little over budget for me but definitely money well spent
I just went to this nail salon called Eden Loft Nail & Spa at sin ming plaza tower 2, beside the shunfu road. The place is not near the main road, so a bit hard to find. But the environment is very nice. cozy and warm.
The gers are very good especially the filipino called Merci.
Have signed up for their bridal package. Looking forward to my next appt
u gers can go and try. their number is 65540320...
I'm new in this forum. Glad to be able to find out so much about manicure here.
My package is finishing soon at J8 which I DON'T WANT to continue with them anymore! Am looking out for a good nail salon around Thomson area actually. And you mentioned about Eden Loft Nail Spa at Sin Ming which I think is near my area.
Wonder how's their charges like for classic manicure & pedicure? And are they very "pushy" type?
if you live or work near town, you might want to try nail queen at Far East Plaza #02-109,tel is 6836-1393 (look for Serene). She is very experienced in gel and acrylic nails. Her nail art are nice too.
sorry for the late late reply, i believe u already went to do yr nails by now le. How was the experience?
gel is $100, Acrylic $90. I nvr did acrylic b4 so i cant comment but i heard from Serene tt its is not as good as gel cos it might weaken the nails.
They recently offer some bridal and gel packages which i am not sure abt the price (I never ask cos my wedding over le). Might be more worth to take the package instead, can call them to ask if u interested.
I came across this place at Tampines - Dolish Nail Spa and would highly recommend brides-to-be for their mani/pedi session. Superb service and friendly staff. I think also have several regular stewardesses. I love the way they pamper my me.
I took bus 291 (yellow plate) from Tampines interchange then alight at the fourth, stop cross the road, you will see a coffeeshop, walk straight and you will see the shop. Very victorian cosy nail spa...I think u can call them to check if there are other buses available.
I just got their latest promo, express manicure for this month 5 sessions at $43. Value for money...
yesterday i went to Dolish to try their service... it's actually located opp temasek poly... though it is located in a neighbourhood but to my surprised... the shop is pack wif customers... all the customers look very please with the way they are being pampered...
it's a cosy place and their staffs are very approachable... their service are thumbs up!!...
here is how my french mani & pedi looks like....
i wanted it to look nude for my photo shoot... can you see how the french curves... i simply love them... although my finger nails are not long and my toes nails are short... yet they can do it for me... cheers!
*** Mashu, thanks for the recommendation... although i stay in aljunied area but i feel it's worth for me to travel all the way down becoz the whole experience is wonderful....
I would like to check out Dolish's service as am residing at TP area...
Appreciate you can PM me the name of the manicurist who had served you as I do not check SB forum on a regular basis...
Thanks in advance...
