Hi 2018 BTBs!

Im wondering if anyone can help!

- is it necessary to engage a matchmaker for your guodali and your AD?

- do we have to go to each relative or elders house to give 喜饼 and wedding cards?

- any recommendations where to do tailor made suit for the Groom?

- did any BTB planned for gate crashing, church wedding and wedding lunch? Will it be too rush?

Hey Pearl,

Its definitely not necessary to engage matchmaker for the GDL or AD, you can always get elders to do it. But i think more importantly is they must be considered as 好命人 (Like both partners are still around kind, and that their zodiac doesnt clashes with any of you or the family members.)

Traditionally, it is part of the customary for couples to go each relative / elders house for the 喜饼 and wedding cards, but nowadays i think parents will go on behalf of the couple, and you can also replace the 喜饼 with a cake voucher so guests can go redeem the cake anytime they want.

As for the gatecrashing + wedding lunch, i think the timing is sufficient so long you plan it properly and stick to the auspicious timing.

Answers to your questions :
1) not needed.
2)Can & also no need. The usual practice is just mailing to them the wedding invitation.
3)A lot of places actually, just do a google search on" tailor made suit for weddings in singapore"
4)It can be done, as gate crashing happens very early, probably around 8am or so. Wedding at the stroke of noon or just before lunch time.
