Lombok wedding

Hi ladies

anyone planning for overseas wedding. I am planning for Lombok likely to be Oct/ Nov 2017. any venue, photographer, MUA to recommend? I guess MUA and photographer will be better to get in Lombok than to fly them from Singapore to cut cost?

I am not having destination wedding but i read that you have to get a local wedding planner to help coordinate. How else would you be able to coordinate anything, quite impossible to keep flying there yourself eh?

For mua and photographer, ya getting local ones will definitely be cheaper than flying Singapore ones over and having to provide lodging too. But u gotta research if u like local mua works, otherwise u may end up having a more Indon look? likewise for photography, u have to like the local fellow's style. Unless u dont mind any style?

Thank you Dear. I understand the coordination part can be difficult esp when we are not on the ground in Lombok. i had suggested to my husband to be to engage a wedding planner but he was determined that as long as he knows what he wants.. he goes direct to the hotels/villas which have wedding package and start from there. he is prepared to fly there once or twice for site visit and discussion. man's ego....

Was planning to fly my own MUA but photographer probably local... now searching for reputable and not "indo" style

Had a friend who got married in Bali and she too insisted not to get a planner until a few months before the wedding. She realised she couldn't cope cause planning an overseas wedding is very different from planning one locally. Even a local wedding can cause much headache, what more an overseas one... But it's up to you ultimately

I've always like this photography from Axioo which is Indon based. their quote for overseas shoot like Paris was beyond my budget. but their style is very nice and totally not indon. if you have budget can check them out. Usually the rich indon chinese will go to them

Thank you. I had been "sister" for my friend's wedding so I understand how tedious it is. I asked my husband to be to check with his friend who held wedding in Bali. hope he is then convinced that it is hard to do it alone for overseas. Local wedding I am fine to handle alone.. so much headache
