JP Tan Yan Boon

Hi All,

I just had my ROM on the 7th Oct 2014 and would like to recommend my JP if you are looking for one.
He is a bilingual JP (English and Mandarin), middle-aged, like in the late 30s or early 40s.

He is very professional and could tell that he had solemnize countless of ROM by the way he speaks and how familiar he is with the flow and details. There are things that you need to do by yourself like printing the "Invitation to Solemnize" form and meeting the JP at his convenience to sign, and posting the signed copy back to the registry. But Mr Tan has a smarter way of doing it. LoL~ Hence it saves you a lot of hassle and time, especially when you have many things to take care of.

He speaks very clearly, is punctual and humorous too. My hubby went too soft on his first "I Do" and the JP asked me if I can hear it, so I played along and said no, so he turned to my hubby and asked him to speak louder. My guests burst into laughter.

btw, Mr Tan was Xiaxue's JP too. I only realized after I booked him for my ROM. I haven't had the time to scroll through if there on a thread on him, but I heard he is pretty popular too.

If you want more details, do leave me a pm.

My solemniser was also Mr Tan Yan Boon and he's great! He has a clear voice, keeps the ceremony short and sweet and is humourous. :)

Hey Silverash,

Yeah i am also getting Mr Tan as my JOP and he just confirmed his availability. He wasnt that friendly on SMS though..haha but i do hope he is good cos many people are recommending him!

other ladies: can email him @[email protected] or call @ 98500689.

If anyone has more comments on him please do share!

He is great! He is my JP too. Not too friendly when we liaise via email & text. But very friendly, polite in person. Very sincere smile. He was early and gave us a short "briefing" before we start our solemnization. Clear and Humorous speech .. Not too lengthy .. Just the way I want it to be.

He will give you an option to either write your own vow or you may use his.. Which is to repeat after him.. I like it that way instead of reading from a pc of paper LOL.. Both bride n groom to say the vow together as a whole..

My bf sent him an app in mar i tink.. but i am quite worried even thou he alr said yes..

Did he forward you the signed Solemnizer form? I was pretty worried too when I liaise with him through email. He agreed and forward me the signed form 1 day later but my wedding will be held 4 months later. But I've drop him another mail 2 weeks before my wedding as an reminder. And also he will ask you to give him a call after collection of your marriage cert. so far all turn out good. We was even earlier than I expect.

Oh.. I think it's advisable to ask him for the signed copy.. It's not easy to find a jp when your date gets nearer, esp those popular. I guess for me JP it's the most stressful of all task lol.. I've email a total of 6 JP before I got Mr Tan. My friend email a total of 17 before she got her JP which was 3 months before her wedding.

If I would to ask him now. Do you think that it might be a bit too early for a Jan 2016 date?

I think it's better to secure early. I heard some JP take in 1 year in advance esp those popular. JP Dr Phua was fully booked 1 year in advance. I was 4 months earlier and Mr Tan was my no 6th choice. Remember to ask him for the signed copy of the Solemnizer form, you need to bring this along upon collect of the marriage cert. I guess it's kind of secure the slot booking with the JP

Ok I'll email him and ask him for the signed copy. Do I need to send him the invitation form and then ask him for the signed copy?! I'm quite lost for the JP process.

U can ask him if he is available 1st. If he say yes, he will send you the sign copy and the bride n groom details.

I start off by sending him an email - Solemnizer invitation to ddmmyy

Super sad he is taken already. I have to find another JP. Anyone know of any others to intro.

Wow that's fast.. U may try Dr Phua Tan Tee or Dr Chung Tang Fong.. My top 2 choices but was not available too when I email them.

You can email Dr Phua, for Dr Chung you can sms him, he reply pretty fast

Wow.. She got to start looking le, cos last min those popular wan will be taken ..

Ikr I also told her that. But for me I got rejected twice already waiting for Dr Chung to reply my sms. Or should I email others as well? Or should I just wait for his reply. Tried to find videos of Dr Chung's solemnisation ceremony but couldn't find how he sounds like.

I'm not too sure, but he was one of the popular JP. If not you might wana try Mr Chiang. He is a celebrity Solemnizer. Married Fann Wong n Christopher Lee
Name: Chiang Heng Liang
