dear all ladies,

i heard that dr anamah is very good but her secretary sux!!

i tried calling her twice n her voice always change when i said i called to enquire abt if dr tan is free to be my jp. she gives me the feeling that she is doing me a damn BIG favour. so unhelpful n rude!

as my wedding is this coming nov, her secretary asked me to call back in oct. isnt that abit too late? what happen if i cant find another jp? i posed that qn to her secretary n she answered me in such a way that i take it or leave it. do u gals have such problem with her? but i badly want dr tan to be my jp cos i heard she is very good!
if only i can speak to dr tan directly.

Hi Chin Chin,

I spoken to Dr Anamah once and she has a fresh n powerful voice.
Not really sure abt whether her secretary sux, maybe bcos they are from a law firm tats y. She also gave me the voice but I dun care cos I really need her help.
I gave her a call during early Aug cos I cannot get David n Chris Chen for my ROM this Sep. May be u can try again early Oct.
I will be meeting her next Fri evening. So excited. I koe how u feel, dun let her secretary ruined your day & try to be friendly as she is the only one with her schedule. If she is fated to be your JP, u will get her. Dun worry.

how u manage to speak to dr anamah directly? so u call her one mth b4 your actual solemnisation n she happens to be free?
yah i am going to do that again in oct, hope she can make it for my events or else will have problem finding another one in one mth.
haiz, dun understand why her secretary is so unfriendly n rude each time i called. its not as if i m rude to her. hate the fact that i am under her mercy cos she is the one who schedule dr tan's timing. but then its still worth it, cos dr tan is a real nice lady according to my friend. : )

Hi Chin Chin,

I called to speak to Dr Anamah then her secretary transfer me to her and i ask if she is willing to be my JP and she agrees but if her schedule permits. An hr later her secretary is supposed to call me but i was too anxious to koe the outcome so i call again.
Then we fixed the time and date with her secretary. If im not wrong her secretary name is Clairo???
I koe how u feel maybe bcos she is a laywer & top piority is given to her job rather then being a JP.
U can try the following people and their contact is above. From the forum, they are also quite popular. No harm trying.
1) Mr David Loh Choon Lim
2) Brother Emmanuel
I will share with u things abt her after my meeting with her n my ROM.
Dun worry too much. Things will go smoothly for u in the end.
Sometimes those u wanna to be ur JP will not be available but who koes a better one may be just ard the corner for u.

Wats is the date of ur ROM??

The earliest and latest date you may solemnize your marriage is after expiration of 21 days and before expiration of 3 months respectively of notice given. See examples below.

21 days notice period
If you file your notice of marriage on 1 October, a 21-day notice period shall be 2 - 22 October. The earliest solemnization date shall be 23 October.

3 months expiration period
If you file a notice of marriage on a 25th day, the expiry date at 3 months shall be on 25th. That is, if you file on 25 September, the latest solemnization date or expiry date shall be 25 December.

U can refer to the ROM website for more details.

I thk the time is quite tight to get a JP at this moment. But u can still try ur luck. There are some good JPs recommended by Sashamama above. U can try to give all of them a call to chk if they are free. Try to call as many as possible in case the others are not free.

I have just met up with Dr Anamah on Friday. Wow, i was really impressed by her even though it was only a short meeting. My FW n I got to rehearse the ceremony speech once. So touching. Im really glad i can get her cos my FW was so touched when i looked into her eyes n asked her to marry me.
I thk her schedule is going to be very tight as she has been appointed to hold another new appointment by some women world organisation.
I can oni suggest that u can try one mth in advance in order not to bother her secretary. Cos i thk she is really the oni one planning her schedules.

It depends on the individual JP. Some of them may wanna meet up wif u so he/she can hv a small talk wif u. I hope u can get her too. I will update u again after my ROM next wk. So excited.
She is really friendly to me n my FW and my FW like her after the first meeting wif her. At first she wanna a male JP instead of a female one.

Apart paying for the $26 to ROM, u still have to pay an add min $28 to the JP. Its for their transportation. If u give them more, normally they will donate to their prefer charity.

My ROM is over finally.
Its a wonderful, joyful, happy n blessing day.
I am so really glad that i got Dr Anamah Tan to be my JP. She is really friendly n really making our day a little bit special.
Even my wife's sister is thking of engaging her for her ROM next yr Jan.

PS: For those who wanna do outdoor solemnisation, there is another great plc SHERATON TOWERS S'PORE at $35+++ pax. The food is great n the staffs are nice apart from a bit of bumps here n there. Waterfall, poolside or function rm is free unless occupied. No complementary stay and i spend ard $2K for my ROM with a rm. I have invited ard 42 guest including me, my wife n JP.

Ok will share once i got all my pics ready.
Cos i did not engage a pro photographer and they are all done by my close frens. One Nikon camera, one canon digital camera & a canon video camera.

Err. i have to look for my menu cos i oni remember a few. Its a high tea and my ROM is at 4.30pm to 7.30pm but my guests leave ard 6.30pm.

For engaging Dr Anamah, my advise is to call 1 1/2mths or 1mth b4 ur ROM. Cos her secretary will not entertain u cos they are lawyers. But then ur schedule may be quite tight n thats where all the fustration will come from.
Call ard early Aug 05.

I would like to ask some questions about JP and Grassroot leader.

1. What is the different between JP and grassroot leader? I only know that grassroot leader are from Community Centre and JP not.

2. I saw the details of grassroot leader from the ROM website and they are being group by constituency. Is it mean that I can only choose grassroot leader from where I stay?

3. Any recommendation for JP or grassroot leader that can hold the ceremony in both mandarin and english.

Hi jas,

1)There is no diff btw the JP and grassroot leader if you r just talking abt their service for ROM. U can engage for their service.
2) U dun hv to choose for a grassroot leader from where u stay.
3) U can refer to the posting by sashaman above to koe more abt the JP. If im not wrong those who can do in mandarin shd be able to do in english as well.
U can choose anyone provided that they are free on ur BIG day.
