Hi all, I am planning for a 7 days package tour to Central Japan next year. Which month is the best time to visit Japan???

Can someone share with me which travel agency is good in leading Japan tour and whether the itinerary is interesting??? And also roughly how much is the cost per person...

I saw the CTC is having a 7 days Central Japan package visiting Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, Nagoya, Mt Fuji, Yokohama & Tokyo... Seems a bit rush to me...

I am thinking of visiting just Tokyo, but don't think there is such package. Maybe will go for F&E... is it possible to go Tokyo F&E without any knowledge of Japanese language???

There r package as well as F&E to tokyo...check the ad of past few days newspaper....so many tours to tokyo...

to tour, buy and eat in tokyo w/o japanese knowledge is possible.
if u can understand chinese character, that helps alot

Hi stjt,

depends on how many meals are provided and what u want to buy...

easily S$100 at least per pax is needed

if there are optional tour, will need to have cash on hand for those extras

not sure of what i want to buy becos first time to Japan...most of the most i think 80%

u mean S$100 per day?

how abt the optional tour ?

$100 per day per pax to be on the safe side ...

if you like japan food, is good to buy sashimi from the supermarket...very cheap and fresh compare to here..so is good to have more cash on hand

also the yen is very low now and is ok to keep some for future trips

the agency never mention about optional tour so not sure if there will be one.

so far the rate has been up and down...

better check abt the optional tour with yr agency..

the yen normal rate is 1.5+ ...

the 1.25 to 1.3 is consider low...the lowest ever
was 1.23

i would say i regretted not to go hello kitty land during my previous trip... coz i'm a "fan" of sanrio characters... hope to go there if i go japan again.. but one of my friends said the ticket is rather expensive and not worth it if u don't really like hello kitty and friends, and said that it is like a bigger version of sanrio shop (like the one in takashimaya)..

hi, i also visited hello kitty land when i was in japan earlier this yr. I would say worth it coz i am a kitty fan. My tour package only allow us to stay 2 hrs there and i dont ve enough time to cover the whole place. Its actually a 4 storey building housing all sanrio stuffs. Basement will be the theme park, 1st storey is the main enterance where you will get to see the characters on certain timing to take photos with them. Part of 1st & 2nd storey will be for shopping. 3rd will be the restuarant. If there's chance, try the food there. Not bad and if you are getting kid's meal, you can c that that its very beautifully decorated with sanrio character which you wont/seldom see in s'pore. After finishing, you can wash and bring back the glass. Hope that i will have a chance to go F&E instead of package so that i can spend more time there.

Dear brides to be,

I have a 2 person Chan Brothers holiday package East Hokkiado Romance for 2008 6th Feb to 12th Feb travelling by ANA morning flight.

It has been paid with deposit of 1.6k Each pax is paying $2425, inclusive of airport taxes, package & flight. No other costs to be added. Anyone interested in this package, please do drop me a msg here and I will get bk to u on the details. As my bf & I had some communication breakdown, I cannot bear to see the deposit forfeited for nothing.

So, anyone considering your honey moon in Hokkaido 2008, it will be snowing. Pls do consider.

Thank you

Regards,
Celine Tan

Hi there,
I just came back from Japan 2 weeks ago. Unless you're a Hello Kitty fan, I would say it's not worth going there. It's a very small indoor theme park and nothing fantastic. 45 min is more than enough to spend your time there. For me, I felt that it was a boring place to go.

Hi Gals,

I just booked my 7days central Japan with Universal Studio with CTC departing on 29/3 to catch the cherry blossom. Quite like their itinery (includes sanioland, Disney, uiversal studio etc..) any1 booked this package as well?

Hi Sunnie Pie,

personally after comparing most of the travelling agency I find the package ASA offer is rather ex. But I must agree their itinery is not bad but somehow not worth the price. Just my 2 cent worth

Hi Piggy,

how much did you pay for the package? i also intend to go japan during Mar to catch the cherry blossom but have yet to book my trip. I am deciding btw Chan Bro n CTC leh.. dun knoe which is better?

Peko, i book during the in house fair last wkend and after deducting an early bird discount of $220 I paid $2100+ per pax including airport tax by JAL. If you want you have to book fast. I am departing on 29/3.

Actually I hear a lot of negative feedback for Chan Brother from my friends n relative esp their tours. Things like after sale service very poor, and when they call to enquire abt the airticket they cant trace etc hence, I would'nt recommend pp to Chan brother. But just my 2 cent worth.

After comparing among SA/ASA/CTC/HongThai/Namho etc.. I find CTC itinery to my liking most(i even get my colleague who been to japan very offen to compare and they agree CTC itinery is quite good) and the price is also very reseasonable.
SA quote me $2200+ but fly by ANA(need to transit at narita).
ASA quote mw $2300+ by JAL.
The rest mostly $2200+ but the itinery not to my liking.

Hi Peko,

Mine is a night flight..According to those agency i been to, only ANA provide morning flight but transit at narita to osaka is require. Mine is actually not a confirm departure cos they need 10 to form a tour and when i book only 4 pp but according to them end mar got lots of pp going so not a problem.. Hopefully we be in the same tour

Hi Micky,

I actually called Hong Thai only did not went down, they quote me $1899 tax $363 by JAL. but not sure if the price remains.

piggy12

New Member
Hi Sunnie Pie,
no I did not extend cos not very worth it if u only extend for 1-2 days. I tink there is some charges by the airline.

I paid $4256 for 2 person inclusive of tax after an early bird discount of $220 per pax and another $30 discount for using DBS credit card. I am flying by JAL. There is a CTC fair at MS tml u may want to go down n take a look

HI Micky,

Thanks.

Hi Gals,

For your info actually most tour agency offer $2k-$2.1 for travelling from April onwards.
For Natas fair they are actually pushing for April onwards package

May,
I book with CTC after comparing the itinery among Hong Thai, SA n CTC. Personally it depend on which itinery u preferred. FYI SA is charging slightly higher and they fly by ANA(cheaper range)and CTC.
