Invitation Card in JB?

Hi chummy,
u can go to nagamas on 4th floor in city sq to take a look at their ready made cards. Some of the designs look like the hotel dinner invites in S'pore. If you want to design you own and print using digital print, its cheaper to go to TnT also in city sq 4th floor.

Its very simple to go.
If you stay near bt timah, there is sbs 170 that goes all the way to immigration and into jb direct. If not, you can take the train to kranji mrt station and board either sbs 170 or yellow causeway link to jb.
after you cross the m'sian checkpt, do not board the bus. You can walk straight to city sq. Just walk out and through the underpass. Then when you exit the underpass, you will see a petrol station ahead. Continue to walk pass that petrol station and pass a really old shopping mall, you will see city sq. You can't miss it cos its the newest and very big shopping mall in the area.
Once you're more familiar with that area, you can can venture around the small shops outside though you've got be really careful and not flaunt your wallet or bag cos there have been cases or pickpocket and snatch theft. Its quite safe inside city sq.

forgot to let you know more about printing there.
it is really much cheaper than S'pore printing cos i did comparisons with S'pore printers that are recommended on this forum and prices with the printers in JB.
The price is the same dollar for dollar for printing cost and sometimes even cheaper in JB, so that makes it more the 1/2 price cheaper.
For example, I did full colour digital print for my cards,A5 folded into half to get slightly bigger than A6. Then used their envelopes, which they sold to me for a cheaper price and bought ribbons in S'pore to beautify my church invite. In total, I spent about S$1 for both church and dinner invite with ribbon and envelope.
You can never get this price in S'pore. Those printers that I talked to here said that digital print is no good cos not easy to align well to put my picture nicely in and not get it printed slanted. But the printer in JB did such a nice job and all aligned properly without any mistakes. The only hassle is that I had to fold and tie ribbons on myself.

Yunxi, do you have the contact number of T&T? I am interested to use them to print inserts.... Intend to use translucent frosted paper (hope u know what i mean).... Any idea how much this wld be? How many trips we need to make to JB? FH is not familiar with JB and is quite hesistant if 2 troublesome....

I'm just doing the std golden wordings on cream coloured paper...not sure how much frosted paper costs, think u could call and check...but still I guess it will be much cheaper than if you do it in S'pore...

Me keen to go T&T for printing since its cheaper than in s'pore.
I got abt 300 wedding cards insert lor..but i scare the quality they do not sure good anot.
They quote me RM$100 for my 300 wedding card insert.
Gold string its RM$15 / pkg.
But staying in s'pore, need to travel into JB I abit scare scare

I did check out one of the shops in City Square,cun rem the name of the shop but there is a machine that prints poster placed outside the shop. Anybody knows what is the name of the shop? I enquired about printing 200-300 cards for our church wedding. Was quoted ard S$0.70 including insert and a map. The card was the middle range priced type, maybe RM$1.00 or RM$1.50. Cun rem that well. Wonder whether this would be cheaper den printing in Singapore?

I went to City Square to check out printers there yesterday after settling BS stuff.. here is my review of T&T Printing (and comparing to T Dragon pricing.)
Printing of inserts:
T&T Printing (City Square, JB)
~1st 200 piece, RM$80. (Sing: 34.70)
every 100 cards, add rm20.
~Add Graphics: no extra charge
Can add as many graphics as you want.
~Add Map $RM20 (one time off. Can be provided by you. if dont have, they will get from internet)
Available inserts: off white and pink. (no rice paper)
T Dragon:
1st 200 inserts S$100
Add Graphics S$10 per icon (one time charge)
Map ($5 for about........ 40 or 50 pieces. not very sure.)
Printing of post cards (for couples who require maybe church invitations/ thank you cards:
T&T Printing:
Front colour (unlimited. means can print colour pic also), back- black only:
For 200 cards, it works out to about sing $0.20 to $0.30 per card, inclusive of envelope!!
(Not those cheapo plain white, thin envelope. Good quality. can find at poplular bookshop, those paper sold by weight kind.)
Front and Back full colour (unlimited colours): 200 pieces, no more than $0.35 per piece inclusive of envelope.
T Dragon: The amount was so high i didnt even bother to remember the amount..

Hi,
I just went to city square today after recommendations by fellow BTB.
I ordered my wedding inserts at TnT today and was very pleased with the service offered by the staffs even though I changed quite of a number of designs and the lady was still offering me suggestions on how to enhance the inserts.
In total, within 1 hour, I had my inserts templates, wedding favour tags and even customised a stamp to be used for our envelopes.
The price for all this was less than 50% of just the cost of printing the wedding inserts in Singapore and I am able to collect them next week. Hopefully eveything turn out well.
Will update once I collect the items next week.

hi... just to share.... i printed my cards (customised as i added my picture in)... n i also printed out thank you card in the form of name card size.. per invitation card, is about sgp 55 cents. for thank you cards, is about sgp 15cents... i onli printed out 200 cards... if u print more, u will definetly has more discounts...

hi estee... r u toking about the picture on the front cover... if u r... the picture is i provided them wif the pic n the rest of the card i design there... look for ms khoo... she is quite nice n patience...
