anna, I have a friend who does freelance web design, you can email me if you want the contacts. [email protected]
Or u can contact my wedding planner, wicked plans. their website is www.wickedplans.com they also have web design services but I didn't take up as I intend to get my friend to do for me.

yeah...

i chose wedding window in the end cos i dont have time or knowledge of HTML, wedding window is REALLY easy. And they give you ideas! on what to do for that page. Agree that they are on the steep side, but for a year and online rsvp, i think the interface is really great.

below is a compilation of what i have researched.

<table border=1><tr><td>Website</TD><TD>Price</TD><TD>Term</TD><TD>Comments </TD></TR><TR><TD>Wedquaters</TD><TD>US$25</TD><TD>1 year</TD><TD>A lot of design thems at afforable pricing. Pity features are not enough. RSVP with password. Greatzz! </TD></TR><TR><TD>Ewedding.com</TD><TD>US$89</TD><TD>1 year</TD><TD>With Flash Intro!! A lot of features but limited themes. On the expensive side. Unlimited photos. Unique domain </TD></TR><TR><TD>weddingwindow.com </TD><TD>US$79</TD><TD>1 year US$99 for 18 months</TD><TD>Unlimited photo album, with flash intros, designs limited but VERY nice </TD></TR><TR><TD>Theknot.com</TD><TD>Free!!</TD><TD></TD><TD> </TD></TR><TR><TD>www.weddingchannel.com</TD><TD>Free!!</TD><TD></TD><TD>No flash intros. Limited features. Photo albums unlimited cos using kodak. No pages for frens and bridesmaid information. Good for a simple website design </TD></TR><TR><TD>http://www.tgwedding.com</TD><TD>Free!!</TD><TD></TD><TD>advertising </TD></TR><TR><TD></td></tr></table>

hope these helps!

and my wedding website! from wedding window =)

Hi all,

I'm new to forum and have a few question to ask.

will there be any pros and cons...

Hi FatFatBTB (eighty),

I am using mywedding.com, it is nice and user friendly but problem is not much customization you can do with it.. like you have limited sections only and they only have 4 blank pages for you to customize whatever you want.. but no change of font size and color, and no change on photo size also..
you can view my webpage
http://www.mywedding.com/winsonandfelicia

now i just explored a bit about weddingannouncer after seeing Lester's post.. it provide much more features and i think it is a quite good one as long as you do not find it too complicated.. i rather choose this if I knew it before...

Hi Nicole,

it is not really about pros and cons, the only cons maybe is you got to spend time on it.. but i found it rather fun and it is a good memory that you can keep, also it can be a good reference for other couples if you have related information there... so try it, you will like it.. haha..

okay I tried to put all my stuff over to wedding announcer, here it is http://winsonandfelicia.weddingannouncer.com/

you can compare the difference with mywedding.com now, it is easier for customization, you can add many pages as you want, and there's even audio/video page, quiz/poll, quite fun.. but of course i have not uploaded those parts yet..

i m also using mywedding.com.. This website is great as it allows you to input your love story, calendar, photos and many more..

Additionally, it has great technical support. I once sent an email to check with the administrator and they replied me in less than 24 hours!

wooo... I have just explored wedding announcer.. Indeed u can add or customise more things... Quite interesting... But I dun think this will be suitable for busy brides or grooms...

kekeke.... just registered with wedding announcer a minute ago but I don't think I will be able to update constantly...

Hence my vote goes to mywedding.com...

Hihi Fish,

I am using weddingannouncer but i used their default counter. Not sure is it because you prefer something more customized like a clock or something.

For me I just go to WEBSITE SETTINGS tab after i log on, Then under Counters, i just tick the checkbox "Display on Homepage" for wedding date countdown, then I have it automatically.

I believe they do not allow us to do much customization and that could be why your copy&amp;paste code does not work...

hi, i'm new to this thread. just signed up with weddingannouncer. very comprehensive content. but my only gripe is that the design layout is very limited. only can choose from those few designs.

Hi all, I have my own wedding website. I paid for the domain name and also the hosting. I think it's because I want to have greater say in how my website looks like and I can add more photos without worrying about bandwidth. In addition, when I emailed my colleagues to invite them to my wedding, I can set the email accounts for different groups of people, so that I know who has responded easily.

For those using free websites, I guess if you only intend to let your website last for a while, it's ok. I used to have a lot of free websites, with lots of writing, blogging and pictures, and after some time of inactivity, they disappeared! I spent so much effort on them. Some of the websites simply closed down or I couldn't log in at all.

So, depending on what you want, you can choose your own paid website or free website.

Let me know if you would like to see my website.
