Perks include house pour beer, house pour red wines do waiver of corkage for all sealed and duty paid hard liquor or wines or champagnes brought in to hotel. Free photo booth with helpers for 1 hour. Free day use room for helpers, 1 night stay at deluxe suite including breakfast or 2 nights stay at premier room or 1 night stay in 2 premium rooms, $80 in room dining credits too and many more.

Hello all, will like to check when does planning of details with the hotel usually commence? Cos my coordinator told me it will usually only start 3-4 months before AD...

Hi all.. We had our wedding dinner at HIOCC on the 27th May 16.. it was a great one i would say, all went smoothly, even last min stuff were well taken care off and the banquet manager and their staff even took the extra mile of solving your last min pop up issues.
Great co-ordination from Ashley, the marketing manager from Day 1 of signing on the dotted line till the actual wedding day.
Of course a lot of details we still need to furnish to them but can rest assured they do the job well. planning details starts from the availability of the dates, the numbers of tables, going to the printing company to select your invitation cards, collecting your ang bao box and designing it,getting the date for food tasting, , montage/emcees testing and finally, a briefing by the banquet manager few hours before the actual thing kick in.

and yes 3-4 months prior to your wedding date.. you need to start preparing. A good time i would say and of course as the date draw near, you would have more stuff coming up so advice is whatever you can do, do it early so you have time for last min entry. Its also recommended that you have a few helping hands to assist you to get all the staff done in good times. For us beside having to worry about the banquet, we have the tradition betrothal ceremony and the nuptial bed ceremony too so you wouldn't want all of them to clash together.

On actual wedding night, the marketing manager Ashley even helped us print out 6 set of guest list for the reception, letting us checked into the helper room first to put our staff first as they were still doing our suite. She even went the extra mile of getting a prayer room for my Muslim guests as my ROM & wedding dinner clashes with their praying timing. This is something not in the paper so whatever issues you have, bring it up to them early so they can help you.
The banquet manager we were assigned to was a well-groom gentlemen by the name of Desmond Lee, very polite, helpful and friendly. The first meeting with him for the montage testing and we were impressed by his attitude to assist and his assurance that the ballroom lighting and march in songs timing were all within good control. You need to provide a laptop and one of your brother or sister to assist in doing the songs and videos though on actual day. We had a small hiccup right after the first march-in as we had mis-placed the suite door pass while going up to change for our second march in and guess what ? Desmond went out and came back with a replacement door pass for us within min.. that was so thoughtful of him. Thats not all, we were told there were not enough complimentary car park tickets for our guests and within min, he came back with extras for us to distribute to them. BIG KUDOS for the both of them i would say.

Maybe there are better encounters for others whom had their experience with Holiday Inn but for me personally, we would recommend that you go for these 2 service orientated individuals if you can grab them.

Haha she is attentive and patient dont worry.. its her job. I would say personally she would tried her best to meet all your expectation if possible but i guess the hotel's terms and condition restricted her from fulfilling as much as she can

The photobooth provided by holiday inn is a very basic one and you need to setup your own background and prop. If you looking for different background with props for guests to use, you need to source for one. Mine came together with ad

My coordinator is also Ashley, I bomb her with lots of question, so glad to hear positive comment because I was so worried previously. Do you mind sharing whether you took orchid or crystal ballroom? I sign up orchid ballroom and its really very small from what I see.

Really glad ashley is guiding you along the way.. we took crystal ballroom cos of the bigger number of tables that we need. We did went down a level to take a look at orchid ballroom but unfortunately it was too small for us. We took 29 +2 tables.

The overall package is good, however they change our wedding favours when it is out of stock without informing us. alot of uncertainty during the actual day itself, other than that it is decent for the price.

Hmmm.. who was the one that handle your hotel arrangment? Maybe you could feedback to them?

We were more fortunate because on that day of meetup to finalise the wedding theme, lighting and favors, we were updated by ashley if that certain gifts we wanted were available or out of stock

Maybe u can check with your coordinator. According to mine, they are no longer using the in house photo Booth as the machine kept hanging.
They have engaged external vendor for the photo Booth

Hmm if thats the case then better approach the hotel planner and ask. Who knows if its better now since a 3rd party vendor is handling

I'm thinking of choosing crystal ballroom for my wedding banquet. Can I ask if the high-low ceiling is very obvious? Will guest who sits behind be block?

Also realize that the walk way for March In looks a bit short?
just had my wedding there. when u are marching in, it takes forever.. it depends on how slow you walk. its not that short. the high low ceiling have to make do. but the high ceiling is impressive, imo. u may arranged your more impt guests along the aisle. which can accommodate ard more than 10 tables.

guests at the low ceiling, most tables will not be blocked from the stage. perhaps 1-2 tables will. this depends again on your total tables and arrangement. again, there are live tvs at the low ceiling to compensate. if you wanted a square box ballroom with no pillars, HIOCC is not your choice. but if given the budget and flexibility, this is a gem.

we also had a photo booth section for 1 hrs, and the best thing for this hotel is the payment after paying 3k deposit u don't have to make any payment after your AD. not like other hotel need to pay after a certain month scaring out that you are not paying. food was nice and especially the bridal room at first we wanted to rent extras night so Ashley offer to give us free
like the others say this hotel indeed is the gem.
 
We have recently sign the package during their wedding showcase.. we are also entitled to 1 night stay in bridal suite and unable to negotiate for additional night stay.

My wedding is in dec this year. I managed to swop the function room out for a 2nd night in bridal suite!

just had my wedding lunch at crystal ballroom two weeks ago. Had no issues with Ashley since day 1 till AD, in fact it was me who bothered her on her rest days. She even gave me more goodies for the AD when we went to pay for the deposit at Feb bridal show at bugis. She managed the process well in between the period before the AD. She laid the groundwork for us to fill in and everything is in place, it was just depending on the couple to provide.

With the few meetups with Ashley, everything was smooth and nice. She will not give you empty promises in regards to your many requests, what she can provide, she will, and whatever she can't, she will tell you on the spot.

On AD, banquet manager was quick in finding me for solution. commendable. The AV system person was commendable as well. Very pro and exceeded my expectations. My brother was just there to click play button, no need worry for anything.

Besides that, the groom and bride will be super busy. you don't even know what is happening. of course there are a few feedbacks from guests that the helpers did not provide the beer/wine/cups as per the guests' request. We as the bride and groom cannot control this, and this is the last of our worries that day. In my humble opinion, the staff really took care of the bride, such as going up/down stage, sitting down, marching in, and even provide water while we were standing outside the ballroom waiting for our march in.

Most important, enjoy the moment.

Congrats on your wedding!! Saying about function room for rom.. isit an add on privilege as well? Otherwise it will be chargable? One of the reason we couldn request for 2nd night stay is also because the function room was being offered to us for free usage on rom during the same day.

Not very sure cos I didn't need to use the function room so I ask for a swop. Some hotels didn't allow the swop.

We are planning to host our Wedding at Holiday Inn Orchard. We will be meeting up with a coordinator name call Moe tomorrow.
She responses very prompt and really nice over the phone. She even willing to come back to Hotel for us despite her PH off as tomorrow is the only date we are off.
Any BTB can share the recent promotion if have any or may be can share your experience with Moe.

First impression during the post wedding meeting she gave was well-planned and efficient. She made sure everythings has been accounted for and response to us on any updates to keep us updated on the event items. She ensure that the event will be smooth leaving a good memories for us. Seeing that we had not find a solemnisation venue, she offer us a function room on the actual day and making sure that our request are fulfilled on our desire bridal room.

She even help me on my membership on IHG after the event event in order for me to earn points for the stay and dinner.

I must say I am very greatful and lucky to have her as my coordinator. To me, the event was smooth and great because of her effort. Thanks Gerrayn!

She is knowledgeable and always ready for all our enquiry. I"m glad that She is our coordinator and I won't have to worry that my coordinator is non-responsive/MIA or non-experience. She also go for the extra mile to prepare a birthday cake when I mentioned that my husband"s birthday fall on the actual day . This really touched me. She will very responsible, will give me a call to explain whenever i"m in doubt and also follow up with me and ensure that everything are in order. Thumb up to gerrayn !

My banquet manager on that day is eric . He helped us through a lot on the actual day. He communicate well with us and explain/guide us thru the whole process. He is very experience/confident and reassure us that everything will went smoothly . Without him, I think I will be super nervous and confused on that day ! Thanks Eric !

As for the foods, my guests feedback that the foods was not that bad, maybe 6/10? The only negative feedback was that the portion was abit small ?

A big thanks for the helpers on that day too. The staff that help us for our tea ceremony, staff that helped me when marching in, going up/down the stage and also help us to carry our belonging back to the hotel room . Really appreciated .

Know a lot of people are selling their wedding packages here but I feel a need to share my mum's and brother's feedback on the food when they attended a wedding at Holiday Inn on 2 separate occasions.

I won't say too much except that she only rate 3/10 for quality of food.

Can i know how small is the portion of food? Mine to share photos? I am okay with anything bit not small portion food.

My coordinator left and gerrayn took over. But whatever we ask she just say according to contract which make me frustrated. Not as good as what u mention. I suspect that's due to commission wasn't taken by her. So she do not care much about us.
