just checking for catholics who want to have church wedding, do we still need to go down to the fort canning for ROM ceremony? or will everything be done in church by the priest (both legally and religious)?

Hello Numberator,

You get get a father that's able to sign the ROM. But you have to do it early, at least 1 year in advance to book the date and father you want.

There's no ceremony at ROM (fort canning). It is paper work only.
When you formally register in ROM website, you need to have Priest name (who is a registered solemnizer; not all Priest has this license) and Church you want the wedding ceremony to be held to fill in the fields. Only with the completed information, you will be given an appointment to head down to ROM to collect an incomplete marriage certificate and be handled over to the church office on the day of the wedding.
To answer your final question, Yes. All done in church legally in the eyes of God & Country.
