Hitachi Fridge - any comments?

We've moved 2 our 2nd home. So, we'r using back our furnitures and electrical appliances till we replace them.
HB n I went abt scouting 4 fridge tho cos our current 1 is really small n we need 2 factor in the new fridge size when reno-g our kitchen. After research, we still like Hitachi fridge. We saw it at a electronic shop at the corner of Alexandra Village. Not sure if it's the cheapest place to buy Hitachi fridge tho'.
As 4 pricing, i thot it's abt the same as other brands. Did your fiance compare based on similar capacity?
I know that Hitachi only has 1 mdl tt's on the NEC's energy-saving list n it's not the 1 we'r interested 2 buy. Actually, my grave concern is the running elec cost.
Oso, I find tt not many places carry Hitachi Fridge. Wonder if it's cos they dun offer retailers higher margins as other brands???

hi any user of the R-S37NVS? I believe it is a 2 year old model, but I kinda of attracted to it. think quite comparable to ME CU46.
was quoted 880 for grey and sliky beige and 100 more for stainless.. is it worth the buy? esp when ME is a more popular brand due to rave review..

damn.... my mil got the z580am for $890 at BIG megastore.... it's not as cheap as what others suggest after all. I got the z540am cos only 2 of us so wanted something smaller. Will be getting the fridge this sat!

Wenshi, can let me know where you buy ur fridge? Eyeing R-Z580AM or 540AM. At Best Denki IMM they sell R-Z540AM $888 with free vacum (CVT-40). $820 for R-Z580AM is cheap?

For 540AM, although best selling at $888 and comes wif vacum, i feel u actually pay for the vacumm, is not free, you may try calling KT and ask how much they sell...usually they will sell at abt 19-20% less than denki, which is enuf for u to buy a vacumm cleaner u wanted....

Was looking at R-SF37, the ice-maker set. Anyone has this model? Any comments?
Am also thinking of getting a bigger hitachi fridge w/o the ice-maker feature since we've got a pretty comfortable space good enough to cater a bigger size fridge.

Hi itemowner, I also has got a big kitchen but the thing is, if you don't really have much things to put in or don't often do cooking then don't get too big fridge. For myself, I think R-SF47TM has done me fine. I love this fridge. Hehe..

any reviews of your fridges so far? I'm torn between the R-W690FMSX and the Fisher&Paykel E521. Need to know how reliable the Hitachi brand is coz not as well known as F&P when it comes to fridges.
1. Is it very noisy?
2. Those who have auto icemaking - how well does it make ice?
3. Is it really an electricity guzzler?
