I should think your invites will still shows "vista room" is a fucntion room right?

The important thing is to get the right theme to suit your gowns. Once the set up and theme is nice ans blend in..who cares if it's in ballroom or function room.

We all pay same rate whether anot if it's in function or ballroom isn't it?

Erm...anyway..depends on your preference some prefers bigger space like the ballroom whereas some feels vista too narrow..it all narrows doen to yourself.

Why not make an appointment to know more from the banquet coordinators?

Good news!!

I jus went to Hilton last sat and they had changed their Passion and Zen theme to one with white angels and lilac theme where the Seduction theme remains... I dunno wat are the new names but they are definitely much nicer than the old one... so good luck in ur theme choosing!!

I think Vista is a ballroom cos they got function room on the 5th level where u go for food tasting...

Here is the layout of the 20 tables, taken from the middle part. ligthing is bright due to the camera flash, should be warm and cosy lightning like the one on stage, orangey...cosy! =)

i am still thinking of whether to sign up with hilton or not
went to look at the hotel yesterday.
the new themes of ivory(angels) and lilac are really beautiful but compare to hyatt black theme i still prefer hyatt.

Can some one advise me if hilton is a 4 or 5 star?
how much deposit to pay?
did anyone manage to xchange any items for 2 night suite?
did hilton give complimentary use of projector?

I am one of the Hilton brides. My wedding was over & I had to said it was really a successfully dinner. Personally I would prefer hilton compare to hyatt. The reason is bcox of the food. Went to Hyatt for dinner b4, the food doesnt taste that good as compare to hilton. It really have to depend on individual & see which point is the most concern for u. Food or decoration?

My answer to your below questions:-
1) Hilton is a 5 star hotel.
2) Deposit have to depend..not sure whether they change any policy.
3) U can try to negociate for 2 nights provided it is not a peak period.
4)You can negociate with the banquet manager during the meet up with her. They are all very nice & friendly pple!

I just send up with Hilton last weekend.

As what Dlim has mentioned, Hilton is a 5 star hotel.

They require a non-refundable deposit of S$4K/- as a confirmation of your wedding function.

I tried to neg. for additional night but failed. = (

Lastly, the rental charge for LCD projector is S$300/-nett.

i am thinking of signing wif hilton too. visited them recently. they hv new theme white angels and lilac. i prefer the white angels but FH said too dull. Personally i dun like lilac theme. understand there's a wedding next fri, paranoma room. can go thr to take a look. coordinator cant rem whether isit the angels or lilac theme but said surely not seduction.

The ballroom not bad what better than function room...what you do is to call the coordinators up du wait..usually they will try fix up anything you not happy with.

I saw the new themes leow it's lilac colour which doesn't go with my champagne gold EG..so I chose the white angels which proved to be much better than their old things..haaa

sTARRY, what's important is the theme suits your EG...not your ah lao la...so as long as when you look at it...it's suitable for your gowns than I think it's alright!

Tell your ah lao wedding is about the bride..so his comments no important as long as we like! ha

Food tasting done in July..they were quite flexi with the change of some dishes la..taste wise not too bad actually but who to guarantee the AD preparation?

Usually only the VIP tables are prepared by the master chef from HKG..other tables dishes will be by other chef lar...if not chef wong very beezee leow!

Was there to view the 1st wedding 6/6/06.

Find that the lighting and deco (red) was good.
