Hi everyone, hope you can help me.
I live in Australia but will get married in Singapore as my fiance is Singaporean. I don't know where to start to plan a wedding there.

I don't even know what "ROM" means I see mentioned in many posts here.

I am going to Singapore in early September for 1 week to visit sites and secure a venue and date!!! Any advice of what I need to do before then so that I can be organised and know what to secure when I arrive in Singapore? It will be a short trip but I will need as much help and advice I could get.

I've only been searching online but not sure what it will be like.

I would like a vintage/retro theme with a very hand made feel wedding, not sure if this is possible as i may not even have time to MAKE all the things I want.

OUTDOOR VENUE
I would like my solemnizstion to be outdoors and am having about 150 - 180 guests.. anyone know somewhere nice?

MAKE UP ARTIST/STYLIST
make up artist /stylist -that I will need to get a trial done too! Any recommendations, am on a very tight budget too!

HAIRDRESSER
any recommendations?

Thank you so so very much i really appreciate all the help and advice I can get! Thank you again!!

hi mienli, u can start search for the venue at singaporebrides hotel list and emailing them about their price.

maybe while u're in sg visit on sep, u can try to view the venue.
Mine will be at changi village hotel.
ROM is register of marriage which is the same as solemnisation.
I have my ROM package with Cangai BS which including ROM dress, makeup, hairdo, hand bouquet.
While u're overseas, u can start by emailing them one by one, so it can save ur time as well.

above is a listing of venue for outdoor wedding. you better start emailing them early and tell them you date so that they can get back to you on their availability and therefore narrow down the dates for you.

i am not too sure about the vintage/retro theme. but once u get the venue just let them know ur preference and hopefully they can decorate the place accordingly.

for MUA, if you are on a budget, most probably you will be looking at a MUA who is just starting out or building her portfolio. Most of the experienced MUAs are at least in the 400-600$ for a wedding. Anything less than that, you should know what to expect eg makeup not expensive brand like MAC etc.
There is usually a charge for a trail too. Let me know if you are keen, I have a contact for a MUA still building up her portfolio.

What is a ROM package? so usually if I was to go to a hotel, I can ask if they have a ROM package and they can have the flower, makeup and hair included???

Min_min_87 - Thanks for the link to the venues :D amazing!! Can you send me your contact for the MUA and I will need to contact her for prices and trial prices etc.

THANKS AGAIN!
