Hi

Jiwon is a Hair Salon and the specialty is Korean Perms & rebonding. I tried the rebonding which they call extencil. Very good coz very natural. Saw many cust with very nice permed hair there so they must be good.

My hair dresser is Jinnie Min. The shop's number is 68368419. Sorry the location is Wheelock Place not Lane Crawfort. What was I thinking???

Anyway, the perms are expensive coz a cut is already $50.

I just had my hair permed at Matsuo Shunji. but the curls are so soft its gone after 1st wash. my hairsylist was matsuo himself. total cost $462

He had layered my hair so much and he didnt listen to what i wanted...

Previously, I let kiyomi deal with my hair but she left the salon for shanghai to open her own salon.

I wont go back again.

I had a haircut and perm at Hairplus in April. Though slightly pricey, the male stylist was quite good. Mine was a short layered perm around shoulder length, and frens complimented that it looked jap/korean. Previously other salons that I've tried made me look 'auntie' cos the stylists din trim my hair after perming. So it ended up looking very thick.

Hello tansy,

Sorry, I din visit the forum for some time. The haircut at Hairplus was done by Edmund, & cost $45. He said usual charge. The perm was $120, using those plastic curler. I din do colouring there cos the price is very ex. I feel that haircut & perm more important, colour can be done anywhere. Even with promo, the salon is still more ex than others.

I tried highlights at a rather unknown salon also at Far East Plaza, level 2. Was given a flyer at mrt & decided to try out. It was not bad, very natural & suitable for me, although what I wanted was a real striking colour.

There are two Hair Plus salons at Far East Plaza. Are you all referring to the one at the 2nd floor or the 5th floor?

I have done mine at Next salon along Holland Road, try Cheryl. Its natural and good but japanese perm are less lasting, about 3 months. Ceramic and digital perm lasts longer but you have for a while for it to loosen before you get big waves.

I did mine at SODA HAIRDRESSING at Holland V. Behind cold storage taxi stand. Look for James cos he did a very good job on my hair. It has been more than 1 year, and my perms still lasts naturally. Contact : 64624812

Hi..

is this thread still active?

Just want to share my bad experience with HAIRPLUS AT FAR EAST PLAZA.

Just been to HAIRPLUS at FarEast few days ago.
Pls gals, DO NOT GO THERE...!!! I really regret going there to highlight my hair.

My hair length is around neck length(not touching shoulder yet). During the weekend, I went to HAIRPLUS with my girlfriend to have a haircut and highlight. I was served by the lady boss..May.
During the service, the boss can be very friendly to you. However, I guessed she had taken this as an advantage to get top up for expensive treatmentsss... by casually saying "HEY,I'LL ADD THIS PROTECTION CREAM TO YOUR HAIR BEFORE U HIGHTLIGHT" I was taken offguard by this thinking that might be part of the highlighting procedure...

After the highlight, the lady boss came to me again while the assistant was washing my hair.
"HEY, there will hair treatment for your hair for another 10mins" Immediately, before I've yet reached my chair (from the washing bay) she already opened a bottle of serum for next round of treatment.

At the end of the whole session, I paid almost $430...!!

Oh yes, what made me really pissed off with them is that the hair treatment, they actually used 2 bottles instead of 1.. So the charges for the hair treatment was double!! Is there such an unethical ways to push the sales?? And in the 1st place, if they think 1 bottle for serum is not sufficient, they should advise me and tell me that would be additional cost right? Also, I thot the PROTECTION CREAM before the Highlighting begun is part of highlighting procedure? If there is additional charge of the cream, why am I doing an extra treatment after the hightlighting. Honestly, I dont find my hair texture improved..

So all these items added up and in the end, I've to pay a big ticket on it..

wah... must really go to CASE. Don't let them get away. If you keep quiet about it, they will just think they can bully every lady out there by using such "underhand" tactics. $430 is really too much. She should have asked you properly if you want treatments for your highlights. And using 2 bottles instead of 1 is really unethetic. Yucks! This is cheating business!

Hi there, i am new here and this is my first entry. I was thinking of getting curls but I understand that there are plenty of variations out there. Are there any curls that are fuss-free and easily maintained? Which salon is recommended for quality curls? Thanks...
