hello! long time no come in here... wow didn't know they changed their name to Indulge at Park... hubby and i were quite lucky at tt point in time they were not so popular so our price was quite good... like about $28 per person inclusive of the +++ after the 15% discount as we had about 70 pax... we went back on our one year anniversary and think they got discount if use POSB card or something... so quite good also...
I negotiated for things like wedding favours (we had the cute little bears, pics on Waipeng's website), then we chose our table cloth from the colours they had... then brief them on the table arrangements, cos the space we use for the ROM ceremony we need to convert it to the main table for all the immediate family... Wendy was very patient and made sure everything went to plan... like even how many chairs arrange where for the ceremony all taken care of... we actually didn't really ask for a microphone, but on the day itself my hubby or his brother (who's our emcee) requested for it, and it was provided... then after we had the ceremony but before we started the buffet lunch, we also arranged for a toast where we served ice wine, a taste of sweet things to come... they had noted all these instructions before hand, and served the ice wine in nice champagne glasses for the toasting... and all these wines were our own, so the hotel didn't make any money by selling the wines to us but yet they were very helpful in serving it out... and ensuring tt everyone had wine glasses subsequently during the lunch itself... yes corkage was waived...
all in all, it was a really sweet enjoyable experience... and at the price of $28 per pax, with all the arrangements they did for us, we were so pampered and stress-free, i was kinda floating tt day... hahahaha... even the day before we had checked in and my bro in law came over to help with some arrangements, they also gave him complimentary parking... little things like these lor... and when we checked in we had tons of stuff, like the wine bottles, dress, jewellry, etc, they cordon off the front area so we could park our car there, the area they normally reserve for the Mercs and BMWs... we didn't manage to eat much even though it was 3hr long buffet, and they were so thoughtful to pack for us... plus the place itself was gorgeous with the floor to ceiling windows and the faux waterfall as the natural backdrop, the lighting very bright very good to take photos... but yet it's indoors cos this bride needs aircon!! haha... our other choice was like Four Seasons Hotel East Room on 20th floor overlooking Orchard area, but at $75+++ per pax for lunch, hubby and i would have needed to "eat grass" liao... so yes, a year and half later, i'm still having fond memories of my ROM there...
