hi drizzle, i saw the food list on their website too. it seems that the spread for hi-tea is really little in terms of variety.
Some of the worst:
Deep-fried Sugarcane Prawns - I've don't understand why issit served as cold appetizer. Deep fried food shd be served hot! It ended up very cold and oily. More like prawn-cake, i cant taste or find any prawn at all.
Seafood Ball with Melon Seeds - Totally tasteless and cold. I don't taste any seafood at all. We had to scrap away the melon seeds cos it just made the whole thing worse.
Mini Pizza - Very mini hawaiian pizza. Once again, its cold and hard. Even my kiddo nephew didnt crave for another serving.
Pandan Chicken - i'm not sure if this was the name. It's wrapped some leaves, i tot it was the nicest of all cos at least it's still warm, but my hubby thinks its too oily.
I didnt manage to try all the food, cos hubby ate faster than me and he was warning me that its not nice, so i didnt continue eating the rest. but to be fair on the review, the bee hoon and the satay was nice. So we depended on satay to fill our tummy. Green tea tiramisu was well-received too.
There's a normal restaurant for buffet/hi-tea right outside the function rooms. My suggestion is probably to go there try out some of the food and pick those available on your list? Maybe can get ur coordinator to throw in as a FOC food-tasting session.
