hovonwed , how do u count the number of wishes ? i am not sure what is on the wish list ... can share with us what are all the items in the list? btw , i booked 10tables on a weekday , during the hyatt banquet promotion period , that's why got these items ... anyone else got more freebies ?

- One 30-litre barrel of beer
- One bottle of house wine (choice of red or white wine) for each confirmed table
- One “Club At The Hyatt†– Dining Card Membership with 1st year subscription waived
- One anniversary night stay in our Grand Deluxe Room
- One night stay in our Grand Room for helpers on wedding day
- One romantic dinner at mezza9 for two persons worth S$150nett
- A two-piece musical ensemble during cocktail reception (45 minutes)
- Usage of one LCD Projector

my coordinator is Katrina, ever since the day we book the banquet till now have not meet up with her..

I also wana go on 27th to view but its a wkday, by the time i reach will be ard 7pm.. think if go, will disturb the wedding couple??

yours is a wkday or wkend? how come mine is almost the same as yrs but without the musical ensemble??

Wow, I think you have a great deal aboit the musical ensemble! They didn't offer me that when I signed up with them. Should have requested! Wasted! It would be so romantic!

erm i tink what hovonwed meant is that, the above is just the 'wish' list that GH had provide in their wedding packages.

And it depend on how many tables and whether u are going to have your wedding dinner on weekends or weekdays. Can only select 2 or 3 or 4 wishes from the above whole list..

bluebubble, u got all the above wish for your wedding??

i only got 4 out of the list ... but i chose all the most expensive ones... ie the 30litre beer ($600), 1bottle red wine per confirm table ($300) , LCD usage ($300) and 45min ensemble ($400) ... tink hotel stay only worth $200 , and the mezza9 is only $150

Oic, think this is a new thing to me. Cos I tot only Marriott allows couples to choose from a few. Nope, I only have the following: -

- One 30-litre barrel of beer
- One bottle of house wine (choice of red or white wine) for each confirmed table
- One night stay in our Grand Room for helpers on wedding day
- Usage of one LCD Projector

Instead of my two night stay, i changed the second night to another date.

Hi clcl: U book your dinner already? which room u choose?
I be gng down on 27/9 with my bf. will reach abt 8 plus due to work commitment also. but will keep at low profile, so that wouldn't disturb the newly-wed couple. a glance only...(Hope, No offend to the newly-wed couple)
Based on the email GH had given, i think we can only choose the wishes according to the number of tables we have...
Anyone of them, managed to ask for more deals....

hey joey,

zona was a nice lady.. very friendly.

My personal opionion la, the ballrooms dn have the 'wow feeling' when i first saw them. prephas it was not setup yet. so very 'plain and dull'.

I will also be going down on the 27/9 again to view the actual setup of the ballrooms!! ha ha, guess may be able to meet u there.

oh ya, forgot to talk abt the deals that i manage to squeeze from her.

basically not much perks.. i only manage to ask for a free day use helper room(3pm to 8pm) and a solmenzation room with tables and the setup done.
Wedding cards and parking coupons as requested if not enuff. Quite flexiable on this.

tried to ask for discounts on the beer and wine corkage..dn tink so.

That gd. u manage to have a solmennzation room (FOC). Last time, the other bride in the formum mention that they have charges on that room. and the helper room (3 to 8pm) that they give u, it is one of the wishes. Next wed, what time will u be going? u have a fixed date on your AD already? actually, i been to that ballroom once without everything, quite disappointed that it look a bit old and the carpet look quite black also.hehe... so hopefully with all the lighting and decor, will look better....

I booked mine on 7th Jan at Vanda / Mag room

I went on 27/9 ard 8pm+ also, manged to peep a little.. did you girls know that the announcement of yr wedding will be reflected at the LCD screen near the escalater? I saw it & even the couple photo is in.. so nice!

I be also having my solmennzation just before starting of the banquet.
Any good JP to recommed?

yup, the announcement was cool! that was also one of the reasons why i chose hyatt! (ok, i know i'm lame). but do give ur coordinator the photo early. i gave mine two days before cos i was so bz and it didn't manage to appear on the screen.

I went on the 27/9 also. and saw two couple there also. not sure are one of them u. hehe... that good u have sign your package. i still looking ard..... u like the ambient there on 27/9 night? any comments??who is your coordinator? how many tables u have? wat perks u having? i was told that these sunday 7/10 & 8/10 (lunch & dinner) there will be wedding dinner also. u can drop by to see see look look also.
i don't know any JPs... sorry...

My coordinator is Katrina & most slightly 38 tables, my perks think are the standard ones, 2 barrel, 1 wine per table, 1 helpers room, thats all i can remember right now..
oh really.. i will try to go on 8/10 then
No prob, any other BTB can help on JP sourcing??

Hi, my coordinator was Audrey, but she told me she's moving on her career as corp sales mgr in Oct and my account is transferred to Sam Aju. Anyone know him or work with him before? My AD in Dec and I'm not sure how it will turn out.

Which theme are u having? i notice that for your vanda/mang room, u need two projectors. Your projectors are from yourself or your coordinator lend u the projector (FOC)?

i still thinking whether to choose hyatt...... Need your advise, y u choose hyatt.....

yesterday we went hyatt for food tasting ... quite tasty and reasonable portion ... if they can maintain this standard on Actual Day , will be good !

Did any of you guys have free flow beer? Or Hyatt just gave u guys the 30-litre (one barrel)?

Was just wondering if 30-litre is sufficient for the guest?

i chose the weekday menu1 ... almond dessert quite nice , the glass noodle special , prawns very fresh and huge , garoupa very big and fresh , chicken crispy and tasty , shark fin soup very nice too ... i got 1 barrel 30litre... think should be enuf for weekday 10tables... if weekend >20table sure not enuf

Jlwc, good to hear tat food tasting is good. Any idea when shd i start telling my coordinator to arrange the food tasting session as well as collecting of the invites?

smilez , they will call u , dun worry , usually food tasting is 1mth before AD and cards are 2mths before AD.. i am quite surprised the food is quite tasty and big portion ... :D bcos heard a few bad feedback here regardin hyatt food ... or is it during AD too many people they anyhow prepare the food ? but cant be also , bcos tat nite during our food tasting got 3 couples holding banquet there... still the food is nice

chubbie82: grand hyatt min table is 10 , its usually 10 mths before AD people book banquets ... package differ time to time , better to ask the coordinators the latest promotion

alloo..., after viewing all our shortlisted hotels (Hyatt, Marriott, Marina Mandarin, Four Seasons, Oriental), we've decided to go with Hyatt for our wedding lunch in 2007. We love the atmosphere at Sir Stamford room (with big private foyer), small and intimate with long march-in. The package and service is good as well. Most have also complemented that the food is good. Most importantly, the coordinators are professional and flexible in accomodating to all our requests. We are going for the white theme. We saw the wedding setting for white orchids and it look fantastic but my FH don't really like it. Any ideas on the flowers? We are thinking of Lilies? Anyone who have their wedding at Sir Stamford room with Lilies? orchids. Any suggestions?
