Hi ex-hyatt brides,
Have you faced a situation whereby more guests turn up than the number of tables you've booked plus reserved? How does Hyatt handle such situation? Can they open another table on top of what you've booked+reserved?

This is because we can only reserve 1 table for booking of 24 tables, and 2 tables for booking of 25 and above.

Really hard to know how many will fly kites at the last min, or suddenly bring more people...

Hi tsukushi,

I'm using the stamford ballroom for my wedding. I have 23 confirm and 2 reserved. Initially, I wanted to confirm 24 tables according to my RSVP list. But my coordinator told me to confirm 23 and reserved 2.

This had really save us bcoz in the end we had like 1 1/2 tables of pp that did not turn up. So we only used the 23 confirm table.

Hi tsukushi, my coordinator is Andy. Mine was a weekday wedding, so maybe that is one of the reason that we are allow to have 2 reserved even thou we only have 24 tables. Not too sure for your case.

Hi girls,

I went to the hotel for food tasting on Thursday. It was a nice experience. And this is the first time I felt full having the 9 course dinner. Usually, the hotels or restaurants do not give such a generous serving. By the end of the 7th dish, I'm already very full! Hopefully the guests will find that the food is worth while!

Heard that there are 2 pillars which may be a cause for concern...Also, my fren told me that the function rooms are situated on the same floors and hence, may result in confusion...so far i haven't had the chance to go there yet as my fiance is still out of town and wun be back until the end of the month...

Heard that Hyatt is such a hot cake that sometimes even no rooms for book a year ahead. Thts y. But got to c their room.. most prob will be taking their Grand Ballroom as expected crowd is abt 450 to 500pax. Got to c how things go.

Hyatt offers quite pathetic wedding flavours...(a) Heart-Shaped Chocolate Pralines, (b) Pineapple Tarts, (c) Fruit Cake and (d) Chocolate Fudge Cake..so sad right?? I wanted to give cute litlle bears as well...but tat will be out of our own pockets as Hyatt will probably not offer us any discount even if we were to use our own wedding flavors and not theirs...I've been asking ard but it seems tat some of the BTBs have had bad reviews on Hyatt's level of service...tat's an impt point to note..who did u meet the other time?

Baby, I hv not met anyone yet but spoke to a Joy Tan. Din feel approachable at all. But keeping my fingers crossed. I'm thinking of getting my own wedding favors and use Hyatt's for cocktail if they allow. It saves their time in packing. Just leave cakes on trays. Hopefully they allow.

I'm still wondering wht perks were offered during their bridal show.

I'm getting bears for my guests... need about 300pairs. I've received a good offer but somehow her email contradicts a great deal from wht she offered me via phone. The bears are 6.5cm by 4cm each. If your girls are interested, leave mi your email add.

My AD will be on 26th May 07. I am doing my own wedding fav. I'll get the hexagon short glass myself and will think of what to put inside, my aunt always has good ideas, I'll discuss with her. We do make and sell them as a door gift. Think I can only take the camelia room as I have only 150 guests.
