I will on tour for 14 days under insight vacation & will b extending my stay after Paris to Prague. After that, spending another 2 days in london.

Other things to consider is that it's winter in December which i dun like. and it's also the school vacation then..... my colleagues were telling me why dun i postpone it to January or February.

i'll be in london fr 17-20 sept n 4-5 oct. does this overlap with ur itinery? which insight tour r u taking up? will u pass by germany? prague is a pretty city, i hope it isn't too badly affected by the floods.

hv u been to either continents b4? the 2 places offer v. different experiences, so where u go will really depend on what ur likes n dislikes r. my hubby is v. much a europe person while i am always a more us type of person.

if prices out of sg do not differ v. much between dec n jan, i think dec is better. jan/feb r the coldest months in winter! unless u r planning to ski, i think it's better to go earlier. besides, dec is xmas time n i always like visiting countries during festivals, it gives a glimpse into another culture's life. xmas, octoberfest, thanksgiving, whatever it is, the experiences r always fun. if postponing is no problems, the other alternative is to postpone till spring, cos daylight hours r longer, flowers will be blooming (i think the sight is v. v. pretty n that's despite not being a big flowers person).

i stayed in us for a few yrs n i've travelled to europe in winter too, so if i can help in ur trip planning in any way, i'll be glad to help.

how come ur in law can propose such an idea??!! doesn't she know it's ur honeymoon?

I am taking up the 14 days Europe. yes, hopefully prague are not badly affected. We will b going to Germany but can't remember my itenary offhand.

yeah! we can meet up in london then. what time r u leaving london on 17? i'm only touching down at around noon, 11 or 12, i cannot remember. where r u staying in london? we took up f&e, so we r staying at mayflower.

i'm still working on the seating arrangements n the video isn't done yet. we cannot find our rom photos.

the rsvps r really slow in coming. when pple dun rsvp, r we supposed to assume that they r not coming??!! all these should be settled by next week, then it's time to clean n pack our new home. how r ur preps?

yup i've been to both places.... in fact have relatives and friends there. One of the reasons i would like to go there is also to visit them towards the end of my vacation.

I'm actually not very concern about the difference in prices for the tour packages. yah, i know that Jan/feb r the coldest months in these countries.

personally prefer autumn when the trees turn red and they shed their leaves. It's a beautiful scene. In fact, in certain parts of Europe or States in Dec.... i'll probably be able to experience this as well....

Regarding my mil.... i guess cos my hubby's her only son.... very protective about him and also that she wanna go Europe for holidays.....

Anyway, just thought I pop in to share an info with you all before logging off. Georgette just called me to say that she will be leaving GH next week. A lday by the name of Michelle will be taking over her.

Can you share more about Michelle? Like GH and was thinking of going down to see the ballroom and negotiate on the price. Deciding whether to ask for Michelle or Anthony or Andy or any other coordinator who is very flexible and negotiable. Would like to get a good deal like everyone else cos tight budget. Anyone any good recommendations?

one drawback about hyatt is they have so many ballrooms. It's not exclusive and if your dinner is on the third floor, you may have many weddings taking place at the same time. Is it worth it paying so much but you are sort of sharing your venue with so many other couple? The guests may also get confused.

Hi all,

Has anyone been to Hyatt for a wedding lunch? I am closing to signing with them for their wedding lunch package at Hibiscus Room... the menu is similar to that of a dinner... I'm just a little afraid that the food is of lower quality than the dinner menu because of the price difference. Can anyone comment?
