Hi everyone,
If you have a black theme, how do you tell your guests about this so that they won't turn up in black too? I mean, you won't want them to blend into the black table linens right?

Hi JC79,
Can you share your pics with me too - [email protected]? Thanks a lot : )

Hi satinchris,

Only my immediate family know about the black theme. Not intending to announce the theme to everyone, just find it too much of a headache to take that into account. Besides, black is not considered a "good" color for weddings. So the less people know of it, the less comments I'm going to get before the wedding.

Hi have anyone gone for the food testing at Grand Hyatt?
Thinking of signing up with them but am a bit concerned about the Food as Grand Hyatt does not have a specialised in-house Chinese Restaurant. Please advise.

went to hyatt today. ssr is going to be under reno from next year aug. I feel that hisbicious room is a lil small. mag room though has pillar, but the co ordinator says it won't block the guests. However, I am quite turn off by the march in area. The march in starts from the middle of the room and a L shape to the stage. In a diliema which to choose.. Headache.

Hi all,

The food tasting is overall quite good. Just a few dishes that tasted a little salty. We have updated in the comments sheet. Hopefully the chef will improve on it.

Btw, the dishes are rather unique. Not the usual dishes you tried during wedding dinners. I find it very different. I can say I'm very satisfied. Oh, you can request the coordinator to open a bottle of wine to test. It's on the house. If there's balance, you can actually bring it home.

Hi Celeste,

No, they never serve beer, only soft drinks and chinese tea. You can try to request. I'm sure they will oblige.

any sugguestions for btb or ex hyatt brides?
I can't decide between Hibiscis and Magnolia room. Might have 32 tables that Magnolia can accomodate but I don't like the L shape march in. Any suggestions? TIA! :D

the thread is getting a lil in active.. hehe
anyway most likely my FH and I are getting the magnolia/vanda room as it can accomodate more tables. And also, we can click very well with our co ordinator and can negiotiate well with her.
