Girls.... Can you accept this?

Maybe i am superficial.... Together with my BF for 5 years already and he was already suffering from hair loss since then... Now gettin worse and bald patch is big n obvious and I just cannot bring myself to accept it... Especially when he already has thin hair to begin with.
I guess my only concern would be that my kids may be bald too... But not a big issue for me
Does it mean that I don't love him enough to accept it? I feel so after his shower when the bald spots just show up more obvious...
Eh don't think that way... Well, it comes a time we all will drop hair. Can try to help him eat healthier or take more vitamins that assist in hair growth?
He is suffering from male pattern baldness... In fact... Incurable... and he's only 26 this year....

Urgh.... there are times when I look at his head and just feeling sad for him too.... Really dunno what to do... He refuses to consult doctor... But am pretty sure it's mpb because the loss is occurring at the crown area...
Anyone's SO or friends experiencing such issue at a young age...?

hi! my boyfriend had a receding hairline and our hairdresser recommended using grow well. It works for him. You can ask him to try it. Grow Well (both shampoo and hair spray) can be purchased from Watsons/Guardian Pharmacies. It is abit pricey but it works for him.

Your boyfriend gained back his hairline after using it...? From what I know, Grow Well = Minoxidil and might cause scalp irritation/more hair to fall. Once stopped, the hair gained will drop again.... is that true?

Yes, i heard that too. So must use it on a daily basis. But i have definitely seen results on him. And side effects can result. But well, just a recommendation

My fiancé is experiencing that since 20+. The very reason I love him isn't due to his loss of hair, neither for his dense leg & arm hair. (Sounds weird) but for his character and his person himself. My parents came to understand that what I gained isn't someone with well grown hair, but someone who loves me for who I am, his character and his desire to win my family.. Surpasses it all. See beyond the looks, look at the very reason why you fell for him in the first place. If you can't seem to find it, perhaps those reasons were not strong enough to keep this relationship going.
just look beyond things will work out Bianee, My HTB also have the same problem. The most important thing is would you want to marry with him and walk until the end even he is a botak? If you can accept, it doesn't matter otherwise it will become a obstacle to continues move on.
Thanks for sharing. May I know how old your HTB is? Perhaps like what the others say, I don't love him enough to accept this flaw of his. Especially when he already has a thin head of hair to begin with, the balding just look so obvious. I've always thought it's simply hair loss from stress and will grow back until I realise his balding starts from the crown.
Not sure if it's being 心痛 or turned off or what... I just feel sad in a way. I know I'm being selfish for thinking this way as he probably feel many times worse than me.

I used to be in the same situation as u, but mine is not hair but his SIZE ;X dont' feel sad, you are not selfish luh.. I think you are annoyed right?cause he doesnt intend to do anything about it.
Haha, oh well.... On a good note, size can be changed from exercising and diet
kind of..... But on my end I feel like he is trying to avoid the problem...

Done and spent lots of money on treatment and expensive shampoo but it doesn't help.
And my scalp is getting obvious.
But my the other half never once Find it an issue
Hair thinning among woman is not uncommon
Same goes to going out of shape after pregnancy
Looks are not forever
We all age
If u think he is the right one for u, hope u can see beyond the balding scalp.

hair loss after child birth is just temporary and hope you just need to give your body to adjust back and the fact that hair growth takes time too

Not sure if it is just hair. There are some stereo typing amongst asians and especially Chinese against balding men. When actually, it just generally unattractive uncle looking dudes. Balding men can remain very attractive physically if they bother to build up and stay lean. I guess your bf doesn't really take care of his body and appearance. The unattractiveness is beyond the baldness. Beyond the appearance, health should be a more serious concern.
About hair lost after pregnancy, it is indeed temporary for most. However, the hair lost is rather significant. The sagging of the boobs from nursing however, is rather permanent. Its not the same after. Women undergo much more physical changes as they age. Men, on the other hand, reverses much of the ageing with diet and right exercises. So, think about it, would you like it if your husband start to dislike your appearance?

At 1st I was a bit concern but not long after I found out his qualities outweigh that. He is quite handsome without hair also (maybe i baised LOL) .
If the guy love you and treat you right im sure you would be nonchalant to how ppl look at you or even him.
Its just a typical asian stereotype. Try and help him discreetly. Do not make him feel insecure than he already is.

If it really matters to u that much that he is bald,u can talk to him abt going for hair treatment ,if not the other option is to change boyfriend.seriously,if you love him,you have to learnt to accept the imperfections that comes with him.No one is perfect.if cannot accept than no choice have to leave,drastic move yes,but at least you don't have to fret about this issue and make urself unhappy.actually being botak is not a major issue,some guys looks rather cool and manly without hair too.

Hi, yes you're right. It is not a cure, it only causes retardation of the balding. In fact, I've read that using minoxidil for long term will cause infertility for men. You might want to research a bit more.. or maybe use a less concentrated one. The best is to arrange an appointment to see the specialist at national skin center
And regarding the social issues that might arise from the balding, to be honest I might feel the same way as you. But if you look deeper, there is so much more than what's on the outside. If you really love him, embrace whatever comes along! ^^

My Fiancé is also balding, and the hair loss has been happening over the last 6 years we've been together. So I've seen him from a head full of hair till right now it's really a bald patch at the crown already. He doesn't intend to do anything about it as well. He also has a round belly too and grows fat easily.
But I think it's important to look beyond that head of hair and round belly. I think you can try to remind yourself and be thankful that his hair loss isn't due to serious health issues like cancer chemo and all that. I think there are a lot more helpless ppl out there which experience such balding too.
Be thankful that he is around to make you laugh and support you whenever you need him too, and most importantly someone that wouldn't abandon you for the many years down the road regardless of how you look as well. Someone that accepts you for whoever you are, and still dotes on you regardless. I think being there for each other in sickness and in health will speak alot more than this mini 'health/hair issue'
Stay strong and don't bother about what others think. Bliss comes from within yourself. Others can feel your bliss when you feel it yourself too
