Hi gals, you're in good hands if u've chosen FS
happy.gif
I truly remembered my wedding with great memories
happy.gif
my coordinator was Georgette & i must say, all the crew & serving staff are very experienced & service that night was top-notch. The invite cards may be simple but it's a classic and very elegant. The table settings i chose for guests was Gold&Gold with Red for VIPS. Here's my wedding pic so u can consider: http://clickevin.clubsnap.org/gallery/Djin-Loraine07

hi raine djin, saw your wedding pics... I love the purple roses on the cake! so nice!

I will be going with purple roses as well but have not decide on what theme yet.

Hi Mage, i loved the purple roses to bits. FS is very generous and gives the big british roses (not the cheap small china ones) and I had my florist friend so 3 more extra flower arrangements for the foyer, and it was very beautiful and romantic with the extra candles i brought in. If u'd like a romantic theme, lotsa roses & candles will set the right mood

hi girls,

i'm interested to hold my wedding dinner at FS. but i realised frm the pkg tat there is no free beer & wine. did u girls pay a lot for the alcohol during yr wedding?

djinraine

Yup, the wines and beers are all chargable. there is no free waiver of corkage. They may seem slightly more expensive under such comparison but the service is top class and well worth it for a truly memeroable wedding. If i'm not wrong, somebody managed to get some waivers of the wines, but only if u sign up during the wedding shows.

it seems tat the cockage & wine price hv increased based frm the previous posts. cockage is now$40 for wine, $80 for hard liquor & wine per bottle is $65. tats vwei ex.... i feel.... sigh... now headache...

cat_quek

zen,
You sure increase that much,
if i signed my contract that time the wine is only $38 per bottle and the cockage is only $30 per bottle, does it means that I also have to pay by the current charges?

The cockage charge is a killer. When did you sign your contract?

hi all, i am just trying my luck... my sister-in-law sent a flower arrangement to Four Seasons Hotel on my AD, 29 Sept 2007, giving instructions for the flowers to be sent to the ballroom, Crescent Ballroom, at 10pm. However, the hotel staff made a mistake and sent the flowers to the ballroom at 11am without checking the names of the receipient. Though Four Seasons had compensated and sent another flower arrangement to us, my in-laws, hubby and myself are so disappointed and sad as it is not the same at all. I hope that whoever know the couple who had their wedding in the afternoon at Four Seasons, please ask them to contact me and return us the message that was attached together with the flowers. Of course we don't expect the flowers to be still alive! My email address is [email protected]. I wish to stress that the flowers and the message are very important to us as my in-laws are in France and not able to make it to our wedding. This is due to some medical reason by my MIL.

raine djin, i think so far no one has gotten waiver for corkage charges.

However, you do not have to pay for corkage if the wine is from the hotel. In my case, I got free wine when I signed up during the wedding show. I do not have to pay corkages for those wine. If you buy wine from the hotel, cheapest i think is $38++ a bottle, you do not have to pay corkages as well.

chinoiserie, sorry to hear about what happened. Have you try asking FS to help contact that couple? Hope you can find the message soon.

hi plaingal,

i'm also shocked that the cockage increases so much. i dunno if it's a mistake on the email or it's really true. i've not signed the contract yet but will do so before the end of the mth after discussing the details with the coordinator. i sure hope it's a mistake.

hi mage, I just called my co-ordinator this afternoon... he is very helpful and promised to help me to find that couple.

however, whatever happened was the fault of the front office or concierge. I still have to compliment the banquet and catering staff of FS for the wonderful banquet I had last Saturday. all my guests simple love the food, the service and the ambience that night.

if anyone wants to know the charges for the alcohol, we paid around $1,800 for 24 bottles of red wine, 7 bottles of white wine and 32 mugs of beer. we went for the spanish wine which cost $38+++ per bottle.

Hi Chinoiserie,

Can I know how many people did you invite for your wedding? Which ballroom did you use? I am thinking of doing wedding luncheon there.

Hi,

I am going to sign up with FS soon. But I find that they are not so keen to negotiate on their package. I am not keen on their wedding favours. Do you know if I can change it? Also, they are also very adamant about not lowering the corkage charges. Anyone has anything to share?

Hi Ming,
FS is well knowns for being strict on the cockage charge as well as free perks. Who is your coordinator?

They did not waive my corkage charge as well as no free perks...

I just ask for few more complimentary carpark(ard 10 more) also got rejected...U see they are not so flexible. But I still sign up coz I like the ballroom so much.

Hi Felicia, we only had 120 guests, therefore was using the Crescent Ballroom.

Ming, like what PlainGal said, FS is really very strict. We also used our own favours but FS couldn't deduct $ or exchange their favours with something else. So in the end, our guests actually had 2 wedding favours each. They are also very sticky about the corkage charge. However, their service is really good (except for our little incident about the flowers and message), and their wedding suite is also very nice.

My coordinator is Elaine. So it means I can't bargain for anything. That is so sad.
Chinoiserie, what wedding favour did you get and roughly how much is it?

Hi Ming,

I'm in the midst of choosing my venue and the FS main Ballroom is of my top choices.

From what I understand, there're only chocs for favors. No other choices. They're not the type to negotiate. If we do take FS, it's simply because like everyone says, we're signing up for the service. It's 1:1. (ie. 1 server to 1 table).

Corkage is chargeable at S$40 per bottle of duty paid wine. Consider the house wine from the hotel because it's cheaper (I believe S$38) and there're no corkage charges.

Even sadder part, beer is chargeable too! But I so love the ballroom.

Hi M,

Ya I sure love the ballroom to bitz....

bt the price is simply too steep..and no perks..no free beer...not evento mention 5 extra pcs of carpark...also cannot give...

Hi Ming, I ordered my wedding favours from Hong Kong. It was 2 mini bottles of cologne (those butterfly brand water that our mothers used when they were young) for each guest. It is quite costly, about $6 per guest (including the organza bag). I ordered that because we had a retro Shanghai theme wedding.

sigh... FS not able to contact that couple... however, our co-ordinator is very helpful. he contacted the original florist whom my sister-in-law had engaged and asked the florist to print the actual wordings again on the card selected by my sister-in-law. we think he has already tried his best to help and we really appreciate his effort.

and i will probably get my pictures in end nov. i will PM you the link to see my studio pictures (unedited).
