Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!During my Junior College days, we called it “Friendship Day”. I was in the guitar club back then, and we would accept song dedications about a week in advance. On the day itself, we split into groups and entered different classes to serenade anyone who received a song dedication. Sometimes, we would also have special requests to pass a gift such as a soft toy. Ironically, the most popular song dedicated back then was 5566’s “我难过”. Not very appropriate for the occasion and...Ahem. It says a lot about my age. But let’s not go there.

This lovely mermaid @mermaid_kyrene was photographed by lovely @knottiesframe and her makeup was by lovely @prisy.makeup
It was one of my favourite style shoots because I really loved the colour scheme. The flowers were chosen specially to match @mermaid_kyrene ‘s paddlepop tail. Too much love in this picture and caption! I was lucky that all the flowers I envisioned and ordered were available on that particular day and therefore I was able to put all these colours together.

Cascading door flowers and flowers for signage. The signage flowers were actually meant to be for the top of the door frame! However, we were informed by the church personnel that the paint on the door frame was already damaged by 3M tape used previously in many weddings and they requested for us not to place the flowers there. The next thing we knew, we spotted a gorgeous signage carried in by the bridal party and thought it was a perfect match for the flowers!

As you can tell, head florist here has taken a liking to photography, evidenced by the numerous different angles and shots taken of our flowers. It wasn’t always like this. Our photos used to be taken by a trusty iPhone7. Until the memory was full and I decided to upgraded to a Huawei for “better pictures”. Alas, the Google ban was announced that very week! I decided to learn how to use a proper camera once and for all. Armed with my dad’s old DSLR and guidance from @kimnshin , I began a new hobby! Of course, it also comes with the uphill task of filtering through tons of badly taken photos after the sessions.

When we were creating this bouquet for Jessica, I immediately knew I had to include orange pincushions and orange astromerias as the rays of the setting sun.
