I signed up solemnization package with Changi Village Hotel during the wedding fair in Jan 2011.
On-day sign up can enjoy $188 nett off total banquet bill and complimentary of 30 litre barrel of beer (with min. 100 confirmed guests) for solemnization package.
During that time, i was not able to confirm the number of attendance, in order to enjoy the on-day sign up perks, I signed up 30pax, which is the minimum required guests. I mentioned to the hotel that i may change the solemnization package to wedding dinner if more guests have been confirmed.
3 weeks ago, i have requested to change the solemnization package to wedding dinner package, and increased the guests number from 30 to 100pax. I checked with hotel if i am entitled for the on-day sign up perks for Wedding dinner (1 complimentary of table), they refused to give me the on-day sign up perks, and offered me only $188 nett discount per total bill.
I felt that this is unfair to us. We are like being trapped and have no bargaining power to negotiate for better package, as we have paid the deposit and not able to withdraw in such short time.
What do you think? Should i be nasty and complaint to the management? and fight for my right?
