Engraving for Rings (Chinese Words)

Hi, can anybody help me out here? I am looking for a good place to do engraving for my wedding rings in Chinese letterings. I got my rings from Lee Hwa but we do not like their engraving and besides, they didn't offer Chinese ones. I've tried calling up Fairy Inc. but they will only engrave for the rings custom made there. Checked around a few Jewellery shops like Soo Kee and Chip Lee. I'm considering Chip Lee, they are asking for $5- 8 per character but they are unable to show me a sample engraving and they have to keep my ring there for 3-5 working days... so have anybody tried their services before? Trustworthy? Appreciate help. Thanks.

I has mine weeding band engrave in chinese. u can try their service in bugis, opp Goldheart, can remember how much per character, but u need to leave with them once they finish.

I managed to get chinese engraving on my rings. It is on second floor of Orchard Cineleisure, Gift G******. They charge $5 per chinese word and $1 for letters and numbers, $3 for heart symbol. You select the charaters on computer and it is machine engraved, done on the spot.

hi hmeishan, for the chinese engravings, what kind of "font" do they use? Or do they engrave in those traditional chinese characters or only the simplifed ones? THanks..

Hi Gerbera, the ones i have are in simplified characters, not sure if they have other fonts to choose from.

I also looking for shops that do chinese engraving as well as english. we dun like the engraving from the jewellery shop that we bought our wedding bands. therefore my FH and I decided to find shops that are able to provide the chinese and english engraving.

Abt the letters engraving that u mentioned, how is the fonts like? is it like BLOCK LETTER or cursive?

Do you have any pics of ur rings engraving and more details of the shop name? can send to me? thanks alot.

Hi I bought my wedding band from Poh Heng & they do Chinese character engraving, they charge $4, but I managed to ask them to waie off the $4. HTHs!

you can go to Orchard Cineleisure, Gift G****** as mentioned above.. mine wedding bands were engraved there also.. hee.. but tat's 1 year ago.. wedding bands also "hui hui" liao.. hahaha.. but i think you will not regret to have ur rings engraved there.. we have chosen a font that turned out very nice too and we like it very much..

if you haven got ur rings yet, you can go Poh Heng. We got our rings from there. for chinese character they charge $4 per ring. v cheap n reasonable. i love their services n products too
