We had the pleasure of having Dr Chung for our Solemnisation and he really made it so memorable for all of us. Many of our guests, including my MIL, commented that he was hilarious and great at what he does. He conducted the ceremony bilingual, as I have alerted him that two of my guests were purely mandarin speaking.
Dr Chung was quick in replying my WhatsApp messages. His was courteous and kind, and when I had questions, he was very detailed in giving me the breakdown of the solemnisation process. He also encouraged us to write our own vows, and reminded us it was okay to ask us any questions we might have.
The day before, he gave us a call to check and made sure we collected our documents. On the day itself, he came, addressed the crowd and started the ceremony. He was hilarious to a point my guests thought he was a comedian (lol), but yet when it required him to be solemn, he was. The ceremony was simple, straightforward, meaningful and respectful. Honestly, the 20min, most of it was due to our personal vows plus some crying.
Dr Chung made my guests comfortable and also took loads of photos for us during the ceremony too. Guests were constantly amused and encouraged to clap throughout, so the ROM was really intimate, lively and also chill.
He almost rushed off after the wedding without the angbao but we manage to catch him. He got our angbao and said he was going to donate all of it to a charity organisation on behalf of us It made everything feel so meaningful.
So if you are looking for a solemniser that is bilingual; fast, funny, but also grounded and respectful (with a couple of free photos lol), don’t hesitate to approach Dr Chung! I HIGHLY recommend him!!
