Hi Yeow Mei,

IPL permanent hair removal do lighten the dark patches and smoothen the armpit area. I have done the armpit hair removal by a Famale Aesthetician who currently started her bitz in IPL at #03-05 Far East Shopping Centre (between wheelock place and Hilton Hotel). You may reach her @ 93821247.

Hi Angel,
How much did you pay for this IPL? How long will you see the effect of lightening the dark patches? Any Famale Aesthetician to recommend?

For Armpit hair removal is $100 per session.

Hi Fiona,

U will see the effect of lightening the dark patches after each session. Not only that, u will find it smoother too.

i went to see a doc abt this and insisted he give me something for it. he did give me this whitening cream to apply but the terrible smell puts me off. and since arm pit sweats easily, it gets oily and something happened - some kind of rash or sth - it gets itchy and patches appeared and i stopped using it. sigh. thinking i will not get those sleeveless gowns or bustier gowns...

Dear all,

I hope I have not post this too late. I myself have dark patches on my underarms for YEARS. And no matter how often I pluck, it became worse. I have not courage to even bring my arm up at any time of the day.

Finally I went to see my GP. So many years, I haven’t met a GP that I am comfortable to show him my problems. I am glad now that I found Dr. Vincent Chua. He is such a patience and gentle doctor who can stand me asking stupid questions.

Recently I went to see my GP about my problems. He gave me some cream for 3 days, it became lighter and advise not to pluck anymore because its causing damage to the skin. After 3 days, the cream doesn’t seem to work anymore. I went back to him and he gave me some antibiotics and a more effective cream. My question to him was Dr., can you please just give me the strongest and make it go away once and for all? His reply was no and it will take some time to heal and it will be too strong for the skin to handle. So I took his advise but I really cant stand the hairs that I have over the past one mth plus, and I ask him if I can pluck my hairs off. He say no and strictly advise me to go for laser. Today is only 1week and 3days after the 1st consulting, the dark patch became SO MUCH LIGHTER and some parts are already my skin colour.

I have also gone for my 1st laser hair removal armpit yesterday at BCNG by Dr. Lim (recommended by Dr. Chua) and it was all good.

Dr. Lim is also a patience and funny doctor. The laser session cost me $136/session.

I choose to go through the whole treatment with a doctor then a beauty salon. At least I feel safer.

For those who are having the same problem as I do, I hope this does help as I know how embarrassing it can get when it comes to underarms.

Hi,
I went for my 1st underarm IPL at Inizio (Bugis) and is $150/session. After my 1st treatment, the hair quantity is significantly reduced and the growth also slows down much longer than my usual hair growth after epilating. The lady told me usually her customer needs only 2-3 treatments and the hair growth will be halt until maybe a yr later before the hair starts to grow again.

Any one bought any package from INIZIO?

Hi Connie,

It lightened after each treatment. S$120 per session. There is a male doctor there too but I personally more comfortable w female cos very shy to show male doc my sweaty underarms and dark pigment initially.

I tried a whitening underarm exfoliating cream, it's gentle & helps unclog the pores too! My underarm seems brighter & whiter after use. Affordable price per tube.

i tried wakilala but i think nivea deo works better in terms of a lighter skin tone. i dunno it is my imagination or not but i think using wakilala makes it seem slightly darker. i am using nivea deo for many years but i am still unable to lighten it totally. it is still somewhat dark. sighs~ any really good recommedations?

Facing the same problem as all of you here, have try with a salon which is highly recommended in this forum. Must say its really effective in terms of hair removal and skin whitening. The people have advise me never to put on any dedorant as it is usually the main cause for darkening spot.. So gals out there, pls rem it. Also, apart from doing the IPL treatment, we can also buy the whitening cream and apply it at home. After 2nd session, the darkening spot turns much lighter than before. Those who is interested, should go and have a trial..
