Thanks for sharing. Am considering as to whether I should engage their service. I quite like their materials. I was quoted about 1K for 5 roller blinds and 1 night curtain. Not sure if its considered reasonable. Hoping that they would give me further discounts.

The above is just an estimated quote. Wonder if we can don't take up their service should the actual quote be much higher when they have come our place and take the actual measurements?

I find the price reasonable. Like I said, it will depend on the materials u choose and hw much material used for your windows. Is yours a 5-room or an Exec apt?

After so many days of searching for the lowest quote, I finally confirmed with MGL Curtain & furnishing. My installation will only be in Sept cos now 7th month... Here's r the items i will be getting:-

Living Room - Day & Nite Curtain (Full Length)
Study room - Day & Nite Curtain (Full Length) with 2 curved tracks
Master Bedroom - Nite Curtain with curved track (3/4 length)
Guest Room - Nite Curtain (3/4 Length)

Total cost (after 1 hr of bargaining) - $780.

I have a question on roller blinds too. It seems to be quite the in thing recently. Our curtains are getting old and we're wondering whether to replace with roller blinds. The problem is, so far those I've seen in use are half lengths. Would it be strange to use roller blinds on full length windows? Also I like the light colour ones, but I wonder if they are enough to ensure privacy at night.

Anyone using rollerblinds can advice please? and also the costs if you don't mind!

Hi!

Just engaged someone to do my 5 room flat curtain. Very good service and price too! The shop is at Katong Mall. Suggest you to go down to look at the design and select it before getting them to come to your house for quotation.
From what I know, roller blind is defintely cheaper than curtains. I have done my whole house with curtains as I don't like roller blind.

MIL house has roller blind full length. It looks okay if your house is zen or mordern. But looks a bit cheap from outside... looks like paper, at least that is how i feel.

even for light colured roller blind, there is also the black out curtain. hopes this help...

So nice to hear that..... I like their service very much. Never pushy yet friendly & accomodating. My friend of a 5 room unit also took a package from them. For hers, it's mostly roman blinds. I think my curtains will be ready in two weeks time. Will post pics here once ready.

I think shd be less than 200 dollars. Curtain maker will take at least 10 days to sew everything for a 4 room.

we had just engaged J&S from Tanjong Katong complex to do our curtains...although it is not cheap, but must say that we are very satisfied with their quality and efficiency! We were serviced by Ivan who is quite a nice chap, and gave us good recommendations. Spent >3k for our whole house..but it's definitely money worth spending! Especially for those who are keen on nice day curtains, their designs are just so lovely!! And they are actually "affiliated" to JSesprit from Paragon..carry same kinds of fabric, but price wise i would think they are less rigid than Paragon's!

Hi Interrace,

I did roller blinds from Jimmy Textile for my 3 bedrooms. 4 panels for 2 bedrooms and another room was 5 panels. Total is slightly less than $800. I got the total black out to block out the sun.
