Hi gers,

I am currently deciding whether to take conrad for my wedding lunch in 2009.
By far, there isn't any wedding show for conrad or any credit card promotion right?

hi gals,

I have 20 pieces new Conrad wedding cards (Gold/ivory theme) to give away..
They're extras from my wedding in January and i feel it's a waste to throw them away.
Already tied with ribbon, so u just need to slot in your own inserts..
Anyone interested pls let me know your email..

Hi all,

I am considering conrad for my ad venue but heard of this from a friend.
He had paid deposit for this date but due to personal reason, he decided not to do it in conrad. I was considering to take over his package only to realise that even if I am sticking to the date my friend had paid for, the package is not transferable.
And he had to pay another 2k as penalty.
I don't understand, if I am taking his date, why should Conrad be so inflexible about it??
Now I am seriously considering giving conrad a miss =(

Hi all,

I'm planning the wedding next year on 31st dec 09, the package is 1238++ with a min of 35 tables. Very exp, however we both love jeannie's service, very welcoming. Saw alot of good comments on Conrad in this thread.. Interested in seeing the pics of the different themes, can email me at [email protected] if you have any? Thanks first~! Very good service as they mentioned they are willing to help cordon off an area for parking as during that day might be very crowded.. Currently only shortlisted 3 places, Conrad, Amara Sanctuary n Swissotel, stamford. Anyone have good/bad experience with any of these 3? pls let me know, u can pm me or post in this thread for sharing purpose. Thank u!!~

hi,

i have attended a conrad wedding previously and i would say the food is pretty normal for the price that you're paying...though service is good! they have individual plated services for all tables..deco wise is quite nice..

hihi little princess

Congrats on your confirmation with Conrad! I'm sure you have made the right choice. Like you, I simply fell in love with their ballroom and hotel ambience when I stepped in.

In the process of negotiating the package right now

Hi Lala..

Do share your reviews after negotiating with Conrad. It seem like they are not very generous with there perks...

But i do agree, very nice hotel..

i have got my house yet, looking into resale too like u! but very concerned about the COV, mind sharing which areas u looking at?

lala> haha... we r both crazy abt the hotel and the price... so we got to save and save... btw, do u think u will breakeven if u throw a dinner at such a pricy hotel? coz ppl always have the mindset that chosing such high end hotel sure lose $$$...

i allow myself to lose 5k if i book my banquet at conrad. u think enough?

u mean u haven't got your hse right? hehe... i am looking at woodlands. how abt u? we have been searching recently and i feel that the cov is really mad!!!

there's once i went to view a hse, quite nice and guess what? the owner asking 80k cov!!! i feel that its madness!! with 80k, i can buy a old hse and do reno all over again!

hellos little princess
very honestly i am prepared to lose $$, don't think can earn back. Must try to be really prudent so that we don't get a heart attack in the end.

I've calculated base on everyone give $100. Of course there will be those that still give $80. Will lose about 5.5k for 30 tables lor...plus gown, photography, honeymoon, i can't even imagine!

I think i'm more particular bout house...looking at mature estates like AMK, Tampines. So COV, i'm sure you know, can die!

Hi lala...

The wine part very inflexible. i wanted full waiver but they not giving in... sigh.. tell me if any luck on your side...

Good luck in the house hunt... i thk the housing Price was crazy end last year... i thought shd have cooled off by this year...

babypie33

lala> ya, i am also prepared to lose $$$. thinking of that makes me sweat in early friday morning!!! hahaha ...

i think the 5k-6k is a reasonable calculation le. but im afraid i'll lose more!!! i begin to think how are we gonna do forkout so many $$$ in future.... haiz

wow! matured estates sure cost more! my woodlands is already 20-30k cov. i cannot imagine matured estates.... hows your search now? i've offered 1 EA at woodlands, waiting for valuation to come out and nego again...

San> your coordinator also Sun Sun mah? she shd be quite ok ba?
